Chongqing Lixin Vocational Education Center was founded in 1928 by the famous educator and accountant Mr. Pan Xulun in Shanghai, moved to Chongqing in 1937, resumed school in 1984, divided the school into two in 1991, moved to Nanping, the original site was renamed Chongqing Lixin Vocational Middle School, in 1998 was created as a municipal key secondary vocational school, in 2005 as a national key secondary vocational school, in 2014 as the first batch of national secondary vocational education reform and development demonstration schools, In 2021, it will become a high-quality secondary vocational school and a high-quality professional project construction school in Chongqing. It covers an area of 238.12 acres, with a construction area of 154,300 square meters. There are 527 faculty members and 7628 students. There are eight majors in automobile repair, machinery, electrical information, accounting, preschool education, computer, culture and art, public administration and service. The Ministry of Education identified the first batch of national vocational college demonstration professional points, 3 national demonstration majors, 3 municipal key characteristic majors, 2 national training bases, 9 municipal practical training bases, and 1 national vocational skills appraisal institute, which is the first batch of pilot institutions of the Ministry of Education's 1+ X certificate system.

In recent years, the school has seized the development opportunities of the "Action Plan for Improving Quality and Cultivating Excellence", "Double Excellence Plan" and "High-level Secondary Vocational School", continuously deepened the reform of "three teachings", and achieved fruitful results.
