On October 26, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Acting Foreign Minister Of Foreign Minister Mutaki of the Afghan Interim Government, and representatives of the two sides shook hands and took a group photo at the scene. According to a live video released by a Taliban spokesman, Mutaki presented Wang Yi with a special gift. Wang Yi took the gift box and opened it, happily giving a thumbs up in praise, and Mutaki responded in the same way.

According to the Global Network, Mutaki's gift to Wang Yi was a box full of pine nuts. After the establishment of the Afghan Taliban Provisional Government, there were frequent exchanges between China and Arab countries, and local specialties such as pine nuts and saffron from Afghanistan were successfully imported into China. Among them, China and Argentina launched a charter flight of Afghan pine nuts to China, benefiting thousands of ordinary Afghan families. Pine nuts are small and not very large, but they are vital to the livelihoods of thousands of Afghans.
When meeting with Mutaji on October 26, Wang Yi said that China is concerned about the difficulties facing Afghanistan, especially the possible humanitarian crisis, and is willing to continue to lend a helping hand and provide assistance within its capabilities.
At present, the first batch of emergency humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan provided by the Chinese side has arrived in Kabul, and the Chinese side will continue to provide material assistance to Afghanistan through relevant agencies and relevant channels to help Afghanistan solve its current predicament.
Wang Yi stressed that the Chinese side appreciates Atta's understanding and attention to China's major security concerns, and believes that Atta will take more resolute and decisive practical actions to crack down on the international terrorist force of the "East Turkestan Islamic Movement". We are willing to explore cooperation in the field of economic reconstruction after the situation is stabilized and security conditions are in place, and support Afghanistan in giving full play to the geographical advantages of the "Heart of Asia", strengthening interconnection with the region, and enhancing its ability to develop independently.
Mutaji stressed: Atta will never allow anyone or force to use Afghan territory to engage in things that endanger China.
Wang Yi has repeatedly called on other countries at international conferences to strengthen cooperation with the Taliban to avoid a humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan. At the G20 Afghanistan Special Summit on October 12, Wang Yi represented the Chinese side at the meeting, Wang Yi said at the video conference that the current Afghanistan, challenges and opportunities coexist, difficulties and hopes coexist, called on the G20 to give full play to its advantages, on the basis of respect for the basic principles of Afghan sovereignty and territorial integrity, to contribute to peace and stability in Afghanistan. China's proposal has been affirmed by many parties, and the US White House has also called on other countries to increase aid to Afghanistan.
