The golden autumn is picturesque, and the October days are high and cloudy. On October 25, 2021, Director Cai Erqiu of Ledong Li Autonomous County Education Research and Training School brought junior high school chemistry teachers from Ledong Middle School, Siyuan School, Leguang School, Wanchong Middle School, Qianjia Middle School, Baoxian School, Sanping Middle School and other schools to Ledong Li Autonomous County Nationalities Middle School to carry out the observation of the ledong Li Autonomous County Junior High School Chemistry Teaching Open Class and the training activities for improving the professional ability of teachers. The activity aims to give full play to the leading role of key discipline teachers, actively explore effective ways to carry out regional collective lesson preparation, do a good job in the training of subject teacher education and teaching ability, and lay a solid foundation for the improvement of the teaching quality of chemistry education in secondary schools in our county.

Session 1: Launch Ceremony

The activity was presided over by Director Cai Erqiu, a chemistry teacher and researcher at the county training school, who first introduced the purpose of the activity and emphasized how teachers should improve their education and teaching ability under the background of the "double reduction" policy. In order to ensure the realization of the goal of "reducing the burden" and improving quality. Session 2: Speech by Principal Jin Jinfu

Minzu Middle School is very supportive of this activity and extends a warm welcome to the teachers of the brother school. Teacher Luo Wenjing chose the lesson "Basic Particles That Make Up Matter" for demonstration teaching. In the classroom, Mr. Luo flexibly uses experimental demonstrations, student inquiries, video viewing, discussion and sharing to guide students to shuttle between the macro and micro worlds. It effectively helps students to initially construct a particle concept of understanding the world, and achieves the cultivation goals of core literacy of disciplines such as "macroscopic identification and microscopic analysis" and "evidentiary reasoning and model cognition" for students.

Session 4: Lesson Review

Instructor Yang Junlan of Ledong Middle School gave a high degree of appreciation to the lesson of "Basic Particles Constituting Matter" from three angles, such as knowledge line, ability line and literacy line, starting from the learning situation and finally the core literacy of chemistry.

Session 5: Feedback summary

In the final part of the activity, Director Zell Qiu gave feedback to the participating teachers on the problems found in the recent guidance of the teaching of chemistry in junior high schools in various schools, and put forward suggestions for improvement.

He pointed out the following problems:

1. The teaching concept is outdated.

2. Insufficient research on teaching materials and curriculum standards.

3. The ability to plan the classroom is not strong.

In response to the problems found, the advice given by Director Zell ball is:

First, effectively change the concept of teaching;

Second, effective classroom design;

Third, strengthen experimental teaching.
