Ji'an Chongwen Re-education is the famous hometown of Yuanyuan. In the history of China's ancient imperial examinations, the total number of Titles of Ji'an nationality ranked second in the country, second only to Suzhou. However, there are a total of 2936 Jinshi from Ji'an, ranking first in the country.
There are nearly 300 colleges and schools in Guji'an. Located in The Egret Island in the Ganjiang River in Ji'an City, Bailuzhou Academy was founded in the Southern Song Dynasty, and together with The White Deer Cave Academy, the Goose Lake Academy, and the Yuzhang Academy, it is called the Four Great Colleges of Jiangxi. Zhu Xi, Zhou Dunyi, Cheng Yi and other great Confucians all lectured at bailuzhou academy, and it was from this academy that Wen Tianxiang came out. In addition, there have been many very famous figures in the history of Ji'an, such as Ouyang Xiu, one of the eight great masters of the Tang and Song Dynasties, Yang Wanli, one of the four great poets of the Southern Song Dynasty, Yang Shiqi, the first assistant of the four dynasties of the Ming Dynasty, and Xie Jin, a cabinet minister of the Ming Dynasty.
