It is worth mentioning that William Wheeler, the director of the '59 version of "Bin Hue", served as a small assistant director in the 25 version (when he was only 23 years old) and directed the scene of the carriage battle. Later, the scene was re-filmed exactly the same, leaving a shocking scene.
According to historical data, "BinXu" used 1 million props and specially built 300 buildings. By the end of filming, the crew had used 1,250,000 feet (381,000 meters) of film.
In order to shoot this film, the crew trained a total of 78 white horses. The 18-acre location of 15,000 extras was set in the tank race, and 18 chariots were built by the crew, and the entire bridge section took five weeks to shoot.
The film grossed $70 million at the U.S. box office, saving MGM, which was about to go out of business at the time.
