According to the British "Mirror" reported on June 16, recently, an animal protection organization in Birmingham City, England, released several photos documenting slaughterhouse workers showing the ears of slaughtered lambs, and claimed that these photos were taken in the city's slaughterhouse Parker Mecca, causing an uproar on the Internet.
In one of the photos, a slaughterhouse worker places the two bloody ears of a slaughtered lamb on his head and smiles. In another photo, he is holding a lamb with the caption: "Ah! Look at this little lamb!"
After the photos were posted, the manager of the Parker Mecca slaughterhouse launched an investigation. He confirmed that the worker had been employed in Parker Mecca but had left not long ago. Because the worker had worked at other slaughterhouses in the West Midlands, it was not possible to determine whether the photographs had been taken at his slaughterhouse.
It is understood that for his own safety, the worker contacted the animal protection organization and requested that the photos be removed. He claimed he had quit the industry, citing a photograph of a lamb in his home. (Internship Compilation: Warm Reviewer: Zhu Yingku)
