Today, we walked into the former residence of Qin Jian, chief of staff of the Zhuang nationality from Donglan County, Hechi City, Guangxi, where the "Seventh Company" is located, and guarded Qin Jian's former residence in the name of law, deeply remembering and paying tribute to the heroic soul.
On October 11, procurators from the Public Interest Litigation Department of the Hechi City Procuratorate and the Donglan County Procuratorate visited the former residence of Lieutenant General Qin Jian in Banhetun, Banpo Village, Datong Township, Donglan County, to conduct on-site inspections.
Qin Jian (1911-1959), formerly known as Qin Xiuhua, was once known as Tan Jian. A native of Donglan County, Guangxi, a Zhuang ethnic group. In 1929, he joined the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1931. During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, he served as acting platoon commander of the 56th Regiment of the 19th Division of the Red Seventh Army, commander of the Guard Company of the Political Department of the Third Red Army, commander of the Guard Battalion and Battalion Commander of the Political Guard of the Red Army, and chief of the Operations Section of the Headquarters of the Red Fifteenth Army. Participated in the Long March. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, he served as the captain of the Chinese Anti-Japanese Military and Political University, the commander of the 688th Regiment of the 344th Brigade of the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army, the captain of the Jiluyu Detachment, the deputy commander and commander of the Huaihai Naval District, the deputy brigade commander of the 10th Brigade of the 3rd Division of the New Fourth Army, the brigade commander and political commissar of the Independent Brigade. After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, he successively served as commander of the Huaihai Subdistrict and the Sixth Military Subdistrict of the Central China Military Region, deputy commander of the 12th Column of the East China Field Army, and deputy commander of the Northern Jiangsu Military Region. In June 1948, at the age of 37, Qin Jian was promoted to chief of staff of the Northern Jiangsu Corps. Later, he served as the chief of staff of the Ninth Corps of the Third Field Army, and participated in the Battle of Yilin, the Battle of Jinan, the Battle of Huaihai, the Battle of Crossing the River, the Battle of Shanghai and other battle instruments.
In November 1950, Qin Jian, as chief of staff of the Ninth Corps, accompanied Song Shilun, commander and political commissar of the Corps, to lead the corps officers to Korea to fight. The first battle the Ninth Corps encountered head-on into Korea was the Battle of Chosin Lake on the Eastern Front. In this battle, the 1st Marine Division of the US Navy reorganized 25,000 people, about 7,000 combat casualties, including about 2,500 captured and missing people, and 7,300 people were frostbitten, the 31st Regiment of the US 7th Division, known as the "Polar Bear Regiment", was completely annihilated, and the regimental commander McLean was killed. Chairman Mao Zedong of the Central Military Commission sent a congratulatory message: "The Ninth Corps has accomplished a huge task in fighting on the Eastern Front under extremely difficult conditions. Due to the cold weather, lack of supplies and fierce fighting, the number of personnel was reduced to 40,000, and the central government was extremely nostalgic for this....". In the Korean battlefield, the Ninth Corps, as the main force participating in the battle, undertook the task of attacking and defending the front line, and in the harsh war environment, Qin Jian and his soldiers squatted in the tunnels, nibbled on steamed buns, and shared weal and woe, which was deeply loved by the vast number of officers and men.
Qin Jianwei was one of the 177 founding lieutenant generals, and was successively awarded the Order of August 1 of the Second Class, the Order of Independence and Freedom of the Second Class, and the Liberation Medal of the First Class. In just 48 years of combat career, he has left a glorious and eternal memory for future generations.
At the former residence of Lieutenant General Qin Jian, a group of procurators led by Wei Jinmeng, deputy procurator general of the Hechi City Procuratorate, carefully inspected the various facilities and remaining items of the former residence, checked whether there were serious damage and accumulation of debris, and learned in detail about Qin Jian's growth history and revolutionary struggle experience in Banpo Village, Datong Township.
Wei Jinmeng said that Qin Jian was a revolutionary hero who went out from Donglan, and his legendary life of heroic struggle and revolutionary spirit of treating death as a homecoming have created an immortal spiritual monument and are a precious wealth of the party and the state. He demanded that the public interest litigation department should work together with the Datong Township Government and other departments to jointly do a good job in the protection of the former residence, sort out and display historical materials such as Qin Jian's revolutionary deeds, build an exhibition memorial hall, and build Qin Jian's former residence into a red cultural brand in Donglan, highlighting the red gene and cultural heritage.
"In the next step, we will make every effort to strive for the financial support of relevant projects, put the protection and utilization of the former residence of Martyr Qin Jian on the important agenda, increase the protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics, effectively protect revolutionary cultural relics, let more people feel the iron backbone of this Communist Party member, and let the revolutionary spirit be passed on forever." Datong Township Changcheng Chuan said.
Procurator General Qin Yiyong said that since the beginning of this year, the Donglan County Procuratorate has based on the actual situation of donglan red revolution resources, with the red resource protection propaganda activities as the starting point, closely following the main line of investigation, protection and inheritance, and promoting the progress, standing and brand of red resource protection. Through the implementation of the implementation measures with the Veterans Affairs Bureau, the Zhuangxiang Heroes Cultural Park, the Culture, Radio, Television, Sports and Tourism Bureau and other relevant units, the communication and cooperation of procuratorial organs in handling public interest litigation cases on the protection of red resources has been effectively strengthened, the efficiency of co-governance has been improved, and the long-term protection of red resources has been promoted.
