In the latest episode of "Great Qin Fu", Zhao Guochun Pingjun Zhao You wants to invite Lü Buwei out of the mountains to counter the Qin state. When The Qin emperor Yingzheng and Li Si and others learned that Zhao Guo wanted to invite Marquis Wenxin to join Zhao as chancellor, The Weiyang Emperor Suggested Moving Lü Buwei away from Luoyang. Chunping Jun Zhao Tuo sent his men around to inquire about Lü Buwei's whereabouts, and saw Lü Buwei of the Idle Cloud Wild Crane in the field. Zhao Nuo warmly pleaded with Lü Buwei to join Zhao, but Lü Buwei obviously would not betray the Qin state and showed that he did not want to join Zhao.

Soon after, the Qin emperor Wei zheng sent Li Si to the fiefdom of Marquis Wenxin and ordered Lü Buwei to move to Shu. Of course, in the Great Qin Fu, Yingzheng's move was ostensibly to punish Lü Buwei, but secretly wanted to protect Lü Buwei, hoping that after he moved to Shudi, he would no longer be interfered with by the emissaries of the Six Kingdoms of Shandong. In this regard, Lü Buwei bowed to Li Si: "This prayer, please ask Lord Ting Wei to worship the king for me", and then he drank and chatted with Li Si and talked about the recent situation of Yingzheng, and he was still so concerned about Yingzheng.
In the evening, he was poisoned in his own wine, drank this wine, he recalled his life, when he accompanied Yin Yiren to come to the Qin Kingdom with great hardships, assisted him in ascending to the throne, and went through thousands of difficulties, assisted Yingzheng, before dying, he sang the national anthem of the Qin State, and he said to his young self: "I don't regret coming to Qin, because I saw the unification of the world." In the end, Lü Buwei chose to commit suicide, thus officially being offline in the TV series "Great Qin Fu". So, the question is, in "Great Qin Fu", Lü Buwei committed suicide, did Yin Zheng really want to kill Lü Buwei?
One
First of all, when he learned of Lü Buwei's death, Yin Zheng was out of control and asked Li Si: "The widow did not let him die, how dare he die?" Li Si's eyes were moist: "Great King, Marquis Wenxin died for the Great King, died for Great Qin, and he did not want to let the Great King distract himself from his affairs anymore." I have to say that Lü Buwei, played by Duan Yihong, really left a deep impression. In particular, Lü Buwei recalled the past and finally committed suicide, which made many viewers cry. Of course, this is not only because of the excellent acting skills of Teacher Duan Yihong, but also because Lü Buwei in history is a charismatic figure.
Whether it is in the TV series "Great Qin Fu" or in the history of "History" and other canonical history, Lü Buwei's ending is suicide. Of course, for Lü Buwei's suicide, some people think that this is the persecution of Qin Shi Huang Yingzheng, that is, Yingzheng really wants to kill Lü Buwei. However, in the author's opinion, this is not the persecution of the government, but the personal choice of Lü Buwei.
In the TV series "Great Qin Fu", After Yin Zheng learned the news that Lü Buwei had committed suicide, he was undoubtedly very sad. In other words, he could not accept the end of Lü Buwei's suicide, that is, it was not the result he wanted. If Yingzheng really wanted to kill Lü Buwei, when he finally learned the result, it was obviously a different performance. Moreover, if Ying Zheng really wanted to kill Lü Buwei, he would not have issued an edict to let him move to Shu land, and he could directly let him commit suicide in his own fiefdom.
Two
On the other hand, it is true that the outbreak of the Rebellion made Yin Zheng hate both Empress Zhao Ji and Lü Buwei. However, after quelling the rebellion, the gradually mature Qin Wang Yingzheng obviously began to let go and let go. For example, when Lü Buwei was deposed from the post of Xiang bang and left the capital of the Qin state of Xianyang, the Qin king Yingzheng asked Meng Yi to hold his son Fusu to send Lü Buwei away. Although Yingzheng himself did not go, he let his son send Lü Buwei, which was enough to reflect the weight of Lü Buwei in Yingzheng's heart.
As we all know, because king Xiang of Qinzhuang died relatively early, and he and Yingzheng were separated for a long time, this led to Lü Buwei playing the role of father in the heart of Qin Wang. After Yingzheng took Empress Zhao Ji from Yongcheng back to the capital Xianyang, this meant that Yingzheng had apparently completely let go of the anger caused by the rebellion.
After the rebellion was settled, The Qin Emperor Yingzheng was still furious, so he left Empress Zhao Ji in Yongcheng. However, Mao Jiao and others, on the grounds that "if the King of Qin wants to unify the world, he needs to put filial piety first" as the reason, impressed the Qin King Yingzheng to take his mother Zhao Ji back to Xianyang. Zhao Ji was eventually able to enjoy her old age in peace. After forgiving Empress Dowager Zhao, Yin Zheng almost let go of his hatred for Lü Buwei. On this basis, by 235 BC, it was even more unnecessary for Yingzheng to order the killing of Lü Buwei, who had no longer asked about the government. Of course, many people have to ask, since Yin Zheng did not want to execute Lü Buwei, why did the latter commit suicide?
Three
For Lü Buwei, because zhao and other princely states sent emissaries to invite themselves out of the mountains, which caused dissatisfaction among the ministers of the Qin state, after all, Lü Buwei knew the internal situation of the Qin state very well, and once it was used by the six kingdoms, it would become an important obstacle to Qin's destruction of the six kingdoms. In this regard, Yin Zheng issued a royal edict, severely reprimanded Lü Buwei, and moved him to Shudi, ostensibly to exile Lü Buwei, but in fact the purpose was to protect him, and Lü Buwei, who was extremely clever, naturally understood Yingzheng's painstaking heart.
However, he chose to commit suicide. In this regard, in the author's opinion, in the "Great Qin Fu", Li Si gave an explanation. In Li Si's opinion, Lü Buwei did not want the King of Qin to be distracted by his affairs any longer. For the government at this time, the great cause of unifying the six countries is in front of us. Although the national strength of the Qin state has surpassed that of the six kingdoms of Shandong, how to eliminate the six kingdoms of Shandong one by one still requires careful planning and layout. From this point of view, the Six Kingdoms of Shandong offered the position of Chancellor with both hands and invited Lü Buwei out of the mountains, which obviously had the purpose of interfering with Qin's destruction of the Six Kingdoms.
For Lü Buwei, naturally he also saw this problem. In his opinion, even if he moved to Shudi, he probably would not be able to avoid the visit of the envoys of the Six Kingdoms of Shandong. Considering his advanced age and unwillingness to continue to drift, Lü Buwei chose to end his life in 235 BC. In his opinion, after his death, the Six Kingdoms of Shandong could not continue to make a fuss about themselves, and as for the Qin King, Yingzheng, he could concentrate on the great cause of unifying the Six Kingdoms.
Four
Finally, further, Lü Buwei hoped to exchange his life for the peace of his family and his disciples. When the emissaries of the Zhao Kingdom and other princely states invited Lü Buwei to come out of the mountains, Lü Buwei's disciples were actually already moved, that is, they wanted to show their skills in the Zhao kingdom and other princely states. And this, there is no doubt that it will be used by the six countries of Shandong. In other words, in the long run, the Qin court is likely to be informed that Lü Buwei has colluded with the Six Kingdoms of Shandong, after all, Lü Buwei cannot restrain every doorman. If things really came to this point, the Qin King Yingzheng was angry, not only Lü Buwei would lose his life, but his family and disciples would be exiled by the Qin State at best, and zhu Lian would be attacked.
In this context, Lü Buwei chose to commit suicide after careful consideration. After Lü Buwei committed suicide, the Six Kingdoms of Shandong would not continue to send emissaries to the residence of Marquis Xin, and some of the Qin ministers would not have the excuse to attack Lü Buwei. As for Lü Buwei's family and disciples, they would not suffer from the embarrassment of the Qin state. In the "Records of History" and other canonical history, after Lü Buwei committed suicide, Qin Shi Huang Let go of his protégés, that is, did not continue to exile them to the remote Shu land.
In addition, according to the records of historical materials such as the "Records of History" and the "Warring States Policy", after Yan Yi was killed, most of Yan Yi's disciples were actually not connected, and even allowed to return to Xianyang, the capital of the Qin State. Perhaps it was the example of Yan Yi that prompted Lü Buwei to make up his mind to commit suicide in order to save his family and disciples. In summary, although Qin Shi Huang did not get rid of Lü Buwei's idea in 235 BC, Lü Buwei still bid farewell to the big stage of Warring States history in this year. What do you think about that?
