The post-90s scientific research female soldiers under the launcher do not lose their eyebrows

Inside and outside the barracks

Snowy night in the north, cold wind. A real-case synthesis exercise of a certain brigade of the Rocket Army quietly began... Next to the cold "Big Mac", against the backdrop of the bright moonlight, the snow-covered road surface left a series of cluttered and clear footprints, and these small-sized marks were stepped on by Liu Shan, the female assistant engineer of the brigade who was responsible for the technical control task at the scene.

Liu Shan is a post-90s northeastern girl, thin and tall, and does not speak much. When she was studying, she was labeled a "school bully". Today, she has become an excellent officer of the brigade's "four haves" and has been awarded the second class of personal merit. The reporter learned that Liu Shan was also the first female officer in the history of the brigade to receive a second-class merit.

"To engage in technology, we must pursue full marks"

After being laid down from the grass-roots unit, Liu Shan was quickly assigned to the technical room. This is the "highland" of the combat missile brigade's training technology content. However, only 1 month later, Liu Shan hit the "toe" at the "high".

Once, when Liu Shan went to the launch detachment to conduct practical operation training, a company commander who was directing the operation on the spot suddenly ran over and asked several questions about the missile structure and system principle. At first, Liu Shan was still able to withstand it, and as he went deeper and deeper, he was speechless in the end.

In recent years, the brigade's newly replaced weapons and equipment have advanced performance, complex systems, and sophisticated technology, and have set higher demands on the scientific and technological attainment of officers and men, especially technical cadres. According to common sense, when you have just come into contact with the missile profession, it is inevitable that you will be "asked to stay," but Liu Shan does not believe in evil.

Professionalism is the foundation of one's life, and one must not be a "layman"! Liu Shan began to take the initiative to apply for foreign training opportunities, followed by scientific researchers, manufacturer masters, technical backbones, busy like a "gyroscope", can be "digested" on the spot knowledge will not be delayed until tomorrow. When he encounters something that can't be figured out, he shuts himself in the hut at night, learns the principles, the parameters, and sometimes spends all night studying a missile subsystem circuit diagram.

Kung Fu pays off. In the professional theoretical assessment organized by the whole brigade, Liu Shan won the championship with 99 points.

"1 point is also a gap, and we must pursue full marks when engaging in technology." Under constant self-pressure, Liu Shan was recommended as the backbone of brigade technology in only 1 year, and was selected into the talent pool of superior technical top talents, transforming from a "scholar bully" into an "expert" in the missile profession.

Development of a new equipment simulation training system

A few years ago, the troops received an order to change a new type of weapon and equipment, and for a while everyone was a little confused. "It's hard for a woman to cook without rice, the 'real guy' has not yet arrived, what to practice?"

"The head is on his head, and before the equipment arrives, we will develop a set of simulated training equipment ahead of schedule!" The leader's words gave the technical room a dose of "cardiotonic agent".

The new missile weapons and equipment have a high degree of informationization, and commanders issue orders and trumpeter operations, which basically rely on computer interfaces to perform. Liu Shan, who has a computer foundation, naturally "shouldered" the burden of developing an interface system for analog equipment.

"The key to developing the operation interface is to maximize the restoration of the real experience." Liu Shan recalled that in the absence of ready-made equipment, in order to "port" the visualization system, she could only "imitate" the software interface taken by the manufacturer before, and use the image processing software to cut hundreds of modules a little bit, seemingly inconspicuous work, Liu Shan spent more than 2 months.

The "front desk" is only a small part, the interface module is accurately connected with the operation instructions, and the interactive relationship between the interface and the control is established, and the system is complete, which is inseparable from the program code. While asking Ren Pengyu, an engineer who understands computer languages, she found a large number of professional books and began to enter the daily life of "programmers". One year later, this set of simulated training equipment was successfully developed, and the officers and men practiced the procedures and operations of the equipment as desired, which greatly improved the training conditions.

"We must continuously improve scientific literacy"

During the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China in 2019, Liu Shan's unit equipment, as one of the rocket army equipment teams, sailed through Tiananmen Square "without difference".

Behind the successful reading is inseparable from technical support. The laser timer with vehicle speed and achievement storage functions developed by Liu Shan makes driver training more scientific and intuitive, and improves the accuracy of vehicle travel. In the same year, Liu Shan also participated in the development of the launch position distributed virtual simulation system, which won the award in the "three small" innovation competition of the Rocket Force that year, and she was also awarded the third class merit.

Not long ago, she went thousands of miles away with the order to participate in the first inspection and test mission of new weapons and equipment. Under the severe cold weather of -20 °C, the cold wind in the valley was mixed with whistles, but it still could not stop Liu Shan's footsteps. She insisted on going to the position every day to track training, boarding every piece of equipment for operation, and working overtime every day to tackle technical problems. In the early training, Liu Shan repeatedly corrected the problems that occurred in the operation of the trumpeters, guided them to eliminate the faults that occurred in the operation, and brought out a large number of technical backbones for the unit to ensure the smooth completion of the task.

"Advanced science and technology is the core combat strength, and as a technical cadre, only by constantly improving one's scientific qualities can we insert the wings of science and technology for the missile to take off." In the interview, Liu Shan, who has been fighting in the front line for 4 consecutive months, said calmly.
