What's the hardest thing in the world? Is the answer the same as you thought?

author:Beijing News Network

What's the hardest thing in the world? Many people think that it is to see people and know people. There are many idioms in Chinese that involve the human heart, such as having a suspicious mind, having ulterior motives, having an incorrect mind, and being duplicitous, which shows that the human heart is profound and unpredictable, and it is difficult to understand the heart. However, in real life, everyone is not an isolated individual and needs to deal with a variety of people, so throughout the ages, whether it is a dignitary or a common person, seeing people and knowing people is a practical problem that needs to be faced all the time, and it must not be taken lightly.

China has long had the custom of seeing acquaintances, and there are texts to be traced back to the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, when it was mainly popular among the court nobles, which belonged to "official studies", and by the time of the two Han Dynasties, it had basically taken shape, and then spread like a flood beast, and the records related to it in historical books abounded. It is said that Liu Bang, the founding emperor of the Han Dynasty, had a peculiar appearance, "Long Zhuan and Long Yan, beautiful beard, and seventy-two black sons on the left side", and it was precisely because of this that Lü Gong, who was good at understanding people, did not hesitate to marry his daughter (that is, later Lü Hou) to Liu Bang, who was still serving as the chief of the pavilion (similar to the village chief).

Wu Dalang opened a shop , "Our treasurer has a temper, and he doesn't have to be taller than him." Fang Cheng

The ancients left many methods of looking at acquaintances, such as Zhuangzi's "'Nine Signs' Technique of Knowing People", Lü Buwei's "Eight Views and Six Tests", Zhuge Liang's "Seven Classics of GuanRen", Zhang Juzheng's "Classic of Taming People", Feng Dao's "Rongku Jian", and the "Taiqing Shenjian", "Jade Pipe According to the Divine Bureau", "Record of the Moon Wave Cave", "Renren Great Unification Endowment" and so on. To this day, we have also heard some anecdotes related to it.

I remember that many years ago, I was chatting with Du Pengcheng, the author of "Defending Yan'an", and somehow I got involved in looking at the picture. Some people say that it is a feudal superstition and a trick to deceive people, lao Du said that "born from the heart" or a little reasonable, do not generalize: "There is a blind man in Xi'an who is said to have been very famous before 1949, I don't believe it, so I asked a few writers to find out." We made an appointment beforehand, and no matter what he said, no one should make a sound. He first touched a poet, touched his face and waist and touched his teeth, and then said that you are a person with rich feelings and writes poetry, but you are a little afraid of your wife. When everyone listened, they couldn't help but laugh out loud - his lover's temper was not very good, and the two of them would sometimes quarrel; in fact, he was not afraid of his wife, but deliberately chose to tolerate it. There was also a Beijinger, who touched the bones of Beijingers and said that you are from the Beijing-Tianjin area. Maybe he has a lot of research on osteology, otherwise how can he say it so accurately? ”

"When he touched me, he said that I was a compatriot of Sima Qian; he was right about this, I was from Hancheng, Shaanxi. He also said that I had great difficulties after I was fifty years old, and unfortunately I was said to be in the middle again -- because of "Defending Yan'an", I was almost killed by seven buckets and eight buckets..." Lao Du hurriedly took a sip of a cigarette that was about to burn to the tip of his fingers, "He is indeed not simple, he has contacted many people, accumulated rich experience, and has penetrated the temper of the three religions and nine streams, five elements and eight actions, and can be judged from everyone's behavior and conversation, and in some places he is very accurate." ”

In Tokyo, Japan, whenever the lanterns are first lit, there are often "fate judgment" stalls on the bustling streets; in temples and temples, there are also lottery lots to buy amulets, donate incense and money to pray to the gods and worship the Buddha, which shows that some Japanese people also believe in this. There is a Japanese writer named Junichi Watanabe, who created many love novels for men and women such as "Paradise Lost", and is known as the "master of love novels". Junichi Watanabe is a man of temperament, loyal to his feelings, not only verbally advocating love and depicting love in his pen, but also practicing it in real life, and even making a lot of dirty trouble. According to his friend, When Junichi Watanabe's mother spent a hundred days in Watanabe Junichi, she asked the guashi to come and see her precious son, and the guashi said: "This child will become a great instrument in the future, famous in the world, but there are peach blossom robberies in fate, and they are constantly picking flowers and provoking weeds. It turns out that the GuaShi seems to have predicted his whole life.

Beauty faces are difficult to draw

If modern China is the best at knowing people, it is estimated that many people will think of Zeng Guofan.

Zeng Guofan was born in 1811 in Hunan to an ordinary family of cultivators and readers, and has been diligent and studious since childhood, entering the school at the age of six, reading the "Four Books and Five Classics" at the age of eight, and reading the "Zhou Li" and "Historical Records" at the age of fourteen. In the eighteenth year of Daoguang (1838), he entered the Hanlin Academy and was a protégé of mu zhang'a, the minister of military aircraft. The Cabinet of Ministers, the Ceremonial Attendant, the Officer, the Engineer, the Criminal, and the Bureaucratic Attendant. He was close friends with Wu Ren and He Guizhen, and forged ahead with "practical learning". Throughout his life, Zeng Guofan took patience as the first priority for the government, advocating that everything should be diligent and honest, and must not be proud of the official. He cultivated himself and disciplined himself, sought officials with virtue, sought government with loyalty, and put etiquette first, and achieved great success in the official arena.

There is no doubt that Zeng Guofan is one of the most influential figures in modern China. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, there were Lycooks running rampant outside and taiping rebellions inside, and Zeng Guofan was ordered to take his own personality as an official, a talent who knew people and was good at his duties, recruited talents from all over the world, used them for his own use, and turned the tide of the tide in a thousand jun moments.

It is said that Li Hongzhang recommended three young people to his teacher Zeng Guofan, who began to observe secretly from the time they waited in the courtyard. After some conversation, Zeng Guofan let the person with the best eloquence do a false post with a name and no power, let the person with honest rules and honesty do the same knowledge of managing money, food, horses, and grass, and let the person who looked up at the clouds and expressed his directness go to serve in the army and focus on training. Talking about the reasons, Zeng Guofan said that when the first person was waiting in the courtyard, he carefully looked at the interior decorations, although he talked about it, but many things were not very proficient, just to my liking, it can be seen that this person is good at drilling camps, not enough to entrust big things; the second person is calm and calm, lack of courage; the third person is not impetuous, calm and calm, in the face of dignitaries, very assertive, can not humble their own views, it is a rare general demeanor. The third person Zeng Guofan said was Liu Mingchuan, the first inspector of Taiwan who later made great achievements in battle.

Zeng Guofan's staff numbered more than 400 people, involving literature, arithmetic, astronomy, mechanics, politics, military and many other fields, most of these staff members when they entered the Zeng Mansion through the careful observation of Zeng Weifan, and the Qing History Manuscript said that Zeng Guofan was "a man of great prestige, beautiful beard, and triangular edges." Each pair of guests, when the gaze shifts without words, the person who sees it is frightened, the retreat remembers its advantages and disadvantages, and the one who has nothing or is cool... The number of people who know you well, who is good at making a good ambassador, and who has achieved the recommendation of the supreme, is innumerable."

When arranging important personnel, Zeng Guofan must first carefully observe and decide whether to hire. His diary recorded his specific practice, "when watching people should be investigated on their actions, not in false voices and speeches; when refining one's own knowledge is the first, and visiting people's words is the last" is the essence of it, indicating that the validity of Zeng Guofan's judgment of people comes from spiritual temperament rather than specific facial features. He not only observed the characters from the spiritual temperament, but also paid great attention to the wind evaluations of various characters, and recorded them one by one, and then made a comprehensive judgment when they met them. He emphasized the observation of the stable psychological processes and psychological characteristics revealed in people's words and deeds, expressions and attitudes, and then summarized and judged the future and fate of this person through the experience of life in the world.

It is said that the Ice Book is a work by Zeng Guofan summarizing his popular experience. The term "Ice Jian" takes its meaning of taking ice as a mirror, discerning the autumn, knowing the face and knowing the heart, it integrates the "I Ching", osteophysics, psychology, talent science, and strategy, and through the observation and summary of a person's external bones, rigidity and softness, appearance, mood, eyebrows, voice, and temperament, and then infers his thoughts, beliefs, wills, action, temperament, ability, personality characteristics, and handling style, and then uses them according to their ability.

With the many reprints of the Ice Book in recent years, there have been more and more studies on it, but whether the Ice Book was written by Zeng Guofan is still controversial in the academic community. Contemporary scholar Zhang Quanhai collected various editions of the Ice Book during the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, and found that the book had been printed in the ninth year of Daoguang (1829), and Zeng Guofan was not yet nineteen years old at that time, and it is unlikely that he was the author. Now in the "Guangzhou Mustard Garden Book" of Chinese University, the book is titled "Mysterious God Bone Ice Book", which was engraved by the Qing Dynasty bibliophile Wu Rongguang. Wu Rongguang said: "The Yu family has seven articles of the Ice Book, which do not bear the name of the author, just like a son, there is no engraving in the world, I am afraid that it will be annihilated. I also asked Mr. Tang Haoming, the compiler of the Complete Works of Zeng Guofan and the author of the novel "Zeng Guofan", who said: "After looking through all the texts passed down by the Zeng family, I have never seen a single mention of the book "Ice Book" ... Why entrust the name zengshi instead of others? Its source covers the great name of the Zeng clan as 'Xiangren'. ”

It is not surprising that books have been published in the name of others, which have existed since ancient times. If the author of the Ice Book is not Zeng Guofan, who is it? These problems have not yet been conclusively determined, and it is yet to be continued to be hidden in the academic community.

In fact, the automatic screening of interpersonal relationships has been quietly opened since childhood, whether it is play, study, or work, life, you like, you appreciate people, you will naturally get closer; you are tired, disgusting people, you will naturally be estranged. In the words of the ancestors, it is "things are clustered by kinds, and people are divided into groups"; in technical terms, it is the "law of attraction" in psychology. Learning to see people and know people is to find like-minded partners, close friends who are like-minded, far from those who hinder your growth and progress, and at the same time, to see people and learn from them, choose the good and follow, see the wise and think together, and then transform yourself and move towards success.

Regardless of whether the Ice Book was written by Zeng Guofan or not, it still has something for today's people to refer to, and it may as well be read to cultivate the wisdom of seeing people, knowing people, and identifying oneself.
