Grady, a senior at Davidson University, received the Atlantic Round of 10 first-group honors for scoring more than 2,000 career points in his fourth season with the Wildcats. The defender is a full-fledged outside shooter who can also reach scoring points within arcs. He should add much-needed offensive capabilities to Kentucky, who didn't shoot well last season, and could end up being a big player in the NCAA Tournament.
Iowa's Bohannon has maintained Iowa's record for three-point shooting, assists and 143 games, but he will come back to fight for more. In the 2019-20 season, after receiving a medical break due to injuries limiting his 10 games, the 6-foot-1-inch guard averaged 10.6 and 4.4 assists in the 2020-21 season, shooting 39 percent from three-point range. He was the main returning scorer in a team that lost Naismith's Player of the Year Luca Garza and deputy Joe Wiscamp. That means Bohannon will shoulder the main offensive mission.
With the departure of All-America First Team guard Ayo Dosunmu and fellow backcourt starter Adam Miler, Fraser will take on a larger offensive role in his fifth season on the program. The 6'2-inch defender was named to the Big Ten All-Around Defensive Squad last season and has shown offensive firepower throughout his career. If he stays healthy and the University of Illinois wins in the NCAA Tournament, his career will reach 2,000 points.
Mississippi State's Brooks took a hit at productivity last season as opposing defenders focused on the 6-foot-10-inch forward during his junior year. Perhaps a different environment will benefit the former ACC second-team player. Brooks' father, George Brooks, is an assistant at Mississippi State University, and Garrison will be a key figure in the project, which needs to make progress under sixth-year head coach Ben Howland.
