Hate the green bead tree amphibious night. The small flower ashram meets, and the flow of the heart eyes. Red tide shines on the jade bowl. The afternoon incense is heavy, and the grass green palace is light. Happy silver screen, whisper private, musk moon spring heart a little. The second is from the Ming Dynasty Tang Yin's poem "Wing Chun River Flower Moon Night": "The musk moon reincarnates three or five nights, and the jade people join hands to oar out of Ling'e." ”
Some people also believe that the origin of the "Musk Moon" is in the "Six Dynasties Wen Shu": "Venus competes with the Wunu for The Glory, and the Musk Moon competes with Chang'e". Liang Jianwen Emperor Shiyun: "About the yellow energy efficiency month, cut gold skillfully as a star." And Zhang Zhengjian wrote in "Yan Ge Xing": "Cut gold as a small jing, scatter musk yellow." Look at what is said in the "Youyang Miscellaneous Tricks": "Modern makeup is still quiet, such as the moon shooting yellow star." This "Jing" is a kind of makeup that is applied to the face. In this way, the musk moon and Venus should belong to the popular makeup of women at that time (such as forehead makeup or eyebrow makeup), Venus is not a star, and the musk moon is not a moon.
So, does the musk moon refer to the moon or makeup? I don't agree with either.

The amber cup is slippery and the glass sill is cool.
The water pavilion is moving everywhere, and the window rolls Zhu Lou to put down the evening makeup.
The poem depicts the scene of the summer night, and the third and fourth sentences write about the activities of the musk moon and the sandalwood cloud, respectively: the window is very bright, because the musk moon opens the palace mirror; the room is full of smoke, because the sandalwood cloud lights the imperial incense.
In the seventy-eighth time, in order to commemorate Qingwen's death, Jia Baoyu wrote the "Furong Daughter Recitation", which mentioned again:
Mirror parting, sad to open the musk moon;
Comb the dragon flying, mourning the teeth of the sandalwood cloud.
"Musk Moon" and "Tan Yun" are both Handmaidens around Jia Baoyu, and it is probably not a coincidence that they write poems and lyrics symmetrically. Therefore, many people also believe that "Musk Moon" is actually a mirror in makeup; and "Sandalwood" is a comb made of sandalwood.
So, does "Musk Moon" really refer to just a mirror? Is there any other deep meaning? When reading "Dream of the Red Chamber", our impression of Musk Moon is both careful and thoughtful and sharp teeth. For example, in the twentieth time, it is written: Bao Yu smiled and asked, "Why don't you stubbornly go with them?" Musk Yue said, "There is no money." Bao Yu said, "There are so many piles under the bed, is it not enough for you to lose?" Musk Yue said, "They are all stubborn, who is in this room?" The one is sick again, the house is full of lights, the ground is fire, those old mothers and children, god pulled out the earth, serve for a day, should also tell them to rest, the little ladies also served for a day, this will not tell them to be stubborn, so let them all go, I am here to watch. Everyone else went to play, and Musk Moon was thoughtful, and she concluded through her judgment of the crowd and the situation in the house that it was impossible to be unattended, and she would rather stay at her post to ensure safety.
In the fifty-second time, Musk Moon shows another side, that is, her thinking is clear and eloquent. Do you remember? Xiang'er was thrown out by Qingwen for stealing, and Xiang'erniang was not convinced and ran to theorize, at this time Musk Yue came forward and said: "Is there anyone in this place who shouts and preaches?" Who have you ever spoken to us? Don't say sister-in-law you, that is, Grandma Lin Daniang, you also have to bear three points for us. After warning the other party to pay attention to the occasion when speaking and speaking, Musk Yue reminded the other party in time to pay attention to his identity: "The sister-in-law is not allowed to do some system errands in front of the old lady and the wife, and the adult family only mixes outside the three doors, so it is necessary to know the rules inside us." This is not the sister-in-law standing for a long time, and after a while, without us talking, someone will come to ask you. Finally, tell the other party to solve the problem, "You went back to Lin Da Niang and asked him to come and talk to the second master." After this logical and clear theory, the other party "did not dare to speak and went away with hatred."
So I think it would be a shame that such a clear-cut and clear-headed figure should be just a "mirror".

Before I could eat it, I was on top! Bao Yu smiled, "You come, and I will grate for you." Qingwen said, "I'm not so big." He said, took the money, slammed the curtain, and went out. Baoyu was behind Musk Moon, Musk Moon was mirrored, and the two looked at each other in the mirror and smiled. Bao Yu smiled and said, "It's just him grinding his teeth in the whole room." Musk Yue heard this and was busy waving her hand in the mirror.
It was this "hand in the mirror" that caught my attention because the action was familiar. In the twelfth episode of "Dream of the Red Chamber", Jia Rui was seriously ill, and a Taoist priest gave him a "Treasure Book of the Wind and Moon". The book reads: "Thinking about it, I took a picture of the front, only to see Sister Feng standing inside and nodding her hand to call him." ...... When I got to the bed, I let out a "whoosh" sound, and as soon as I opened my eyes, the mirror fell from the new one, and there was still a skeleton standing on the reverse side. ...... Lacking in his heart, he turned over the front again, only to see that Sister Feng was still waving to him, and he went in again: three or four times. At this time, just about to come out of the mirror, I saw two people coming, and the latte lock put him in place, pulled him and left. Jared exclaimed, "Let me take the mirror and go—" Just saying this and not being able to speak again. Gengchen Ben has a side comment here: "Terrible is the word beckoning." ”
Why is the word beckoning terrible? I think: "Alarm" is "mirror calling", and "beckoning" is summoned in the mirror, which is to chase the soul. So, is the Musk Moon "this mirror" a silhouette or a reference to the "Treasure Book of the Wind Moon"? Is her appearance to remind everyone or to break something? Before the raider left, he advised Baoyu: "Good evil keep musk moon", pointing out that musk moon should be the person who accompanies Baoyu to the end. Then, after everything has dispersed, the mirror of Musk Yue should be able to tell Jia Baoyu that "the dream of the Red Chamber is over.". Unfortunately, the last forty times I could not see Cao Xueqin's original intention, and I could only make a guess.
