The world's first Xiongguan - Jiayu Pass

Jiayuguan, located in the middle of the narrowest valley 5 kilometers west of Jiayuguan City, Gansu Province, the city walls on both sides of the pass cross the desert Gobi, north of the Black Mountain Hanging Wall, south of the world's first pier, is the westernmost pass of the Ming Great Wall, historically known as the throat of Hexi, because of the dangerous terrain, the majestic architecture, there is a key to the lock. Jiayuguan is the transportation fortress of the ancient "Silk Road" and one of the three wonders of the Great Wall of China (There is Shanhaiguan in the east, There is Zhenbeitai in the east, and Jiayuguan in the west).
Jiayuguan was built in the fifth year of Ming Hongwu (1372) and consists of an inner city, an outer city, a Luocheng, an urn city, a moat, and a north-south winged Great Wall, with a total length of about 60 kilometers. The Great Wall is dotted with three defensive lines, namely the inner city, the outer city and the city moat, forming a defensive system of five miles and one flint, ten miles and one pier, thirty miles and one fort, and one hundred miles and one city.
Jiayuguan is a world cultural heritage, a national key cultural relics protection unit, and a national patriotism education demonstration base.
