author:Chengdu hearing has a hearing aid

We've written a lot about the Miura auction, which was Lamborghini's first V12 supercar, painted by Bertone's rookie designer Marcelo Gandini, who was only 25 years old at the time, and its low-slung shape resembled a bull bowing down to attack.

The Lamborghini Miura was introduced in 1966 with a mid-mounted rear-drive layout. The emergence of the car laid the foundation for the real sense of "supercar". RM Sotheby's is auctioning off a 1971 Miura P400 S with a 4.0-litre V12 engine with a maximum power of 370 hp, a peak torque of 388 Nm and an acceleration time of 0–97 km/h in 6.7 seconds.

Between 1966 and 1973, a total of 764 Lamborghini Miuras were built. The Miura chassis for this auction is numbered 4761, the engine number is 30580, the body number is 675, and the production number is 575. The Miura was originally owned by a 19-year-old Iranian girl studying in the United States, whose wealthy parents ordered the off-white exterior, blue interior of the American version of the supercar.

The girl drove for about two years until an accident damaged Miura's right headlight area. She sold the car to the owner of a California auto repair shop who wanted to repair the vehicle but failed to make progress due to the complexity of Miura's design. The car has since been forgotten in warehouses for more than 40 years and was not discovered until 2019, with a range frozen at less than 16,000 miles.

The current owner, a passionate classic car enthusiast, assembled a team of experts and spent 8 months restoring the Miura. The damaged front end is restored to this extent, while the original paint is removed, leaving only the metal shell to show the sculptural line beauty of the Miura. The car is expected to be priced between $1.8 million and $2.2 million.
