Nanchang, October 29 (China News Network) -- On October 29, the Lushan to Huangmei section of the Anqing-Jiujiang high-speed railway began joint commissioning and testing, marking the countdown to the opening and operation of the Anjiu high-speed railway.

As an important part of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway Beijing-Hong Kong high-speed railway, the Anjiu high-speed railway starts from Anqing City, Anhui Province, passes through Huangmei County, Hubei Province, and ends in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, with a total length of 170.9 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, of which the South Railway has a jurisdictional mileage of about 55 kilometers and the main line of the Jiangxi section has a total length of 15.69 kilometers.

The Jiangxi section of the Anjiu high-speed railway began construction in October 2017. In April 2021, the erection of box girders on the entire line of the Anjiu high-speed railway was completed, and in September 2021, the track laying of the entire line was completed. In the construction process, the construction unit strengthened the construction management, strengthened the construction organization, optimized the construction plan, rationally arranged personnel and mechanical equipment, continuously innovated the construction process, and overcame the difficulties such as tight construction schedule, high risk, and difficulty in connecting the construction organization and the process, and ensured the smooth progress of the Construction of the Anjiu High-speed Railway Project.

During the joint commissioning test of the Anjiu high-speed railway, the railway department will use testing equipment such as test trains, test EMUs, and comprehensive inspection trains to conduct a comprehensive test of the overall system function of the Anjiu Railway under the specified test speed, and debug and optimize it according to the test results, so that the overall system function of the line meets the opening and operation conditions.

After the completion and opening of the Anjiu high-speed railway, it will form a north-south, large-capacity fast passenger corridor at the junction of Hubei, Anhui and Jiangxi provinces, and the railway running time from Nanchang to Hefei will be compressed from the current fastest 4 hours to about 2 hours, which is of great significance for improving the layout of the regional road network, improving the transportation capacity of the channel, and driving the economic and social development of the areas along the route.
