Bai Juyi (772–846), courtesy name Lotte and Xiangshan resident, was a realist poet of the Tang Dynasty.

Bai Juyi traveled to Jiangnan when he was young. Later, in the second year of Tang Muzong Changqing, he was appointed as the history of the Hangzhou Thorn, and in the first year of the Tang Jingzong Bao calendar, he was appointed as the Assassin of Suzhou.
