Yangtze River Daily Rong Media June 4 news Serval cat is a new breed introduced to the Wuhan Zoo, because of its unique appearance is loved by tourists. However, when people come here, it is sometimes difficult to observe their true colors.

On June 1, guan Ai, a citizen, came to Wuhan Zoo again, which is the third time he has come to Wuhan Zoo, with the purpose of seeing the "fang" of the serval cat. The first two times Guan Ai arrived, the serval cat was either in the room or hiding in the grass. On the morning of the 1st, in order to see the serval cat, he waited in the observation area for 1 hour, and finally waited until the serval cat appeared from the resting place, but after playing in the grass for a few seconds, he returned to his resting place.

"The animals in the zoo are for people to enjoy, can the staff think of some way to let the serval cats come out for tourists to visit?" In this regard, Guan Ai put forward his own suggestions.

The serval cat is an animal in the genus Serval in the family Felineidae. It is shaped like a small cheetah with a slender torso and limbs. Compared to other cats, they are slender, with long legs and short tails, tall and rounded ears, and a close distance between the bases of their ears. With the exception of the mating period, the serval cat is solitary, most active from dusk to dawn, with noon or occasional night rest.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Wuhan Zoo Management Office, the serval cat is a new species introduced by the Wuhan Zoo before the Spring Festival, a total of two, due to its good hiding characteristics, resulting in some people may not be easy to find when observing. "In order to facilitate the observation of tourists, the keepers will feed in the grass from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. every day, and the serval cats will take the initiative to come out to forage for the observation of tourists." The relevant person in charge stressed that despite this, in order to protect the living habits of animals, the zoo will not force the serval cat to be placed on the lawn, but according to its nature, it is convenient for the serval cat to live healthily.
