The cute creature of the kingfisher world
Ordinary kingfishers have a flat head, a sharp beak, and fierce and sharp eyes, while three-toed kingfishers are smaller, fat and round, with cute eyes and a rounded lower beak. It looks like the cute god of the kingfisher world.

Habits of life
The three-toed kingfisher is a migratory bird. Migrated from August to September and returned to the north in March. It usually hunts alone or in couples. Sexual solitude, usually living alone on branches or rocks near the water's edge, waiting for opportunities to hunt, food is mainly small fish, eating crustaceans and a variety of aquatic insects and their larvae, but also pecking at small frogs and a small number of aquatic plants. Low branches and reeds that often rest upright near the water are often suspended on rocks, waiting for opportunities to catch fish and shrimp, etc. Kingfisher can maintain excellent vision after plunging into the water, because after it is in the water, the eyes can quickly adjust the contrast in the angle of view caused by the light in the water. Therefore, the kingfisher's fishing skills are almost a hundred shots, and there is no false hair.
The three-toed kingfisher is not only cute in appearance, but also has a bit of a "2" eating habit. After the kingfisher catches food, it will often grab the prey and wrestle on the trunk of the tree, the effect may be to shock the prey so as not to swallow it and twist it badly. Then when swallowing, the food will be thrown into the air to adjust the angle, so that the head of the prey is facing the throat for easy swallowing, compared to other kingfishers, the three-toed kingfisher in the process of "playing with food", often "lose hands", resulting in hard to catch food falling to the ground, have to fly to pick it up again, and may eat a fish to fall several times, the whole eating process also looks silly and cute.
Because of the bright and beautiful color of the feathers of the three-toed kingfisher, it often becomes the object of hunting, and it is difficult to see it in China for a time.
Recently, with the improvement of the ecological environment and the increased protection of wild species by the state, coupled with the impact of the epidemic, human activities have decreased, and bird watchers and bird lovers have rediscovered the figure of the three-toed kingfisher in some wild wetlands in Yunnan and Guangxi. It has become a fresh experience for bird watching and photography enthusiasts. All kinds of "long guns and short cannons" roughly count more than a million devices just to capture the moment of this cute little creature.
