April Jik Boo

now. Pulling the sheep river valley blows the north wind

The stars fade above the mountains

In the midst of rituals and fire

I had a premonition of irresistible snow

It's going to float in, thinly

Pounce on me, spread inside me

Everything blossoms

That white glow

Unexpected cold, unexpected loneliness

Keep me in the cracks of the night

Flying, constantly dreaming of the deceased

See also the crazy regeneration of grass and trees

Makes me sigh...

The melancholy of April on earth

Tough and long

April

by Jike Bu

As the north wind blows across Cheyang valley,

stars fade in and out over the mountains.

Surrounded by rituals and camp fires,

I sense the presence of snow,

threatening to float down, to scantly

cover me up, and glaze

the blooming world

with a layer of white bristles.

This unexpected chill and unexpected bleakness

bring to my dreams faces of the deceased

in a break of the night,

but also there invigorating earth.

It brings a lump to my throat.

The melancholic flowers of April

are most tenacious and persistent.
