If you cultivate and understand, you will eventually gain greatness.

1

In 1959, when the 120-year-old monk sat quietly on a meditation bed, he knew that he was going to finish this life, so he called his disciples over and asked them to put their ashes into the water and go away freely with the waves.

The disciples were already in tears, eager to hear his last teaching. The cloud wrote down a "precept" word, so that they could understand it with their hearts, and they would definitely benefit for life. Then he passed away with a smile.

Every day is a ladder of progress.

2

Quit being lazy.

At the age of 19, Xuanyun resolutely left home and went to Yongquan Temple to practice under the eyes of countless people.

His life was extremely hard, digging wild vegetables, eating wild fruits, and drinking mountain spring water were all regular things.

The natural conditions in the mountains are harsh, and he encounters wolves, insects, tigers and leopards, and fierce storms, but his will is getting stronger and stronger.

After 15 years of seclusion in the cave, he worked hard every day, and finally cleaned up the dirt and entered the realm of doing whatever he wanted. Far away from the red dust and fireworks, he was deaf and clear-eyed, strong, energetic, and walking like a fly.

His original life credo was "diligence."

Diligence can cultivate oneself, and diligent thinking can lead to enlightenment;

Diligence can be strong, and diligence can be spiritual.

In this life, a "diligent" word can be called a cash cow;

In this life, a "frugal" word is a cornucopia.

Always, unchanged.

3

Abstinence.

Persistence, to put it bluntly, is attachment, popularly speaking, is "a tendon", do not know flexibility, not good at flexibility, in the end still can not learn the essence.

The study of the virtual cloud is very engaged, and sometimes it reaches the point of intoxication.

Once, he was swept away by the evil waves on the way across the river, but was fortunately rescued by a fisherman.

After coming ashore, he bled and his face was like dead ash. The fisherman thought he was dead, so he prepared to bury him in a pit. Coincidentally, a tour of Fang Langzhong passed by, gave the virtual cloud a pulse, found that he was angry like a gossamer, still in the human world, and told the fisherman not to be too hasty.

Let go of a thought, and feel at ease.

Half a month later, the void cloud woke up. Energetic, radiant, completely healthy.

His Zen meditation work progressed by leaps and bounds, as if he had opened a hanging, and entered a whole new realm.

He forgot all the troubles, bitterness, and unbreakable knots of his heart before.

From the beginning of the "stupid child" to the completion of the Zen master, decades have passed, his soul has transformed, self-leaped, and his life has since stepped onto a new height.

He also wrote a couplet posted on the door:

Spring to the fragrance of flowers everywhere, mountains and rivers and the earth is like coming.

Concentrate on one place, constant as the root.

4

Quit.

To be easy is to enjoy, to stay in the comfort zone. It is like a frog boiled in warm water, unconsciously disintegrating the fighting spirit, weakening the spirit, and losing combat effectiveness. Those who are good and evil will eventually achieve nothing.

Void Cloud has a habit of loving labor and dying later.

When he was 103 years old, the Yunmen Temple was built, and he took the lead as a soldier, taking out the momentum of an old Huang Zhong, lifting stones and picking mud, carrying wood to send water, and taking the lead everywhere.

According to Xuanyun, labor is the source of wisdom, which can experience life and death and attain bodhichitta; labor is the bread and clothing of the parents, bringing about the peace of life; labor is the cradle of happiness and brings physical and mental happiness.

Love life and be happy everywhere.

A person who loves labor, his heart is not outgoing, down-to-earth, will not be ambitious, calm, and spend every day. Not a god, but it has already surpassed a god.

Ringing is easier said than done.

It is precisely because it is difficult that it is precious; it makes you different and outstanding.

5

Quit.

To stop is to be self-contained, to stick to the rules, to be stuck in the rules, to be stagnant, and to be arrogant.

The ancients said, "It is better to travel thousands of miles than to read thousands of books." In the process of "walking", many customs and customs, the world and the world are in full view, and over time, they become part of the experience.

After practicing hard, you will eventually achieve great success.

After they are deeply processed by wisdom, they will become strength, which can go up to the moon for nine days and catch turtles in the five oceans. Thinking of the ages, seeing through the miles, making yourself powerful.

As a senior ascetic, Xuyun especially insisted on walking, not necessarily, not taking a boat, and adhering to the creed of "where you can walk on a day, you are not allowed to take a boat".

He has experienced hardships and obstacles, traveled through famous mountains and rivers. The vision is broad, the heart is open, the life is free and transparent, and it is ethereal.

6

Quit cumbersome.

Big people are good at big things and small things;

Great wisdom can cut through complexity and simplicity at a glance.

From eating and dressing to life, The cloud always follows one principle: everything is simple.

From the "stupid child" to a generation of Zen Buddhism, 120 years old without disease: health and longevity, all by 1 word

Ordination is a high degree of self-discipline, and it is destined to be extraordinary.

He once wrote a poem like this:

Go alone and return to freedom, and worry about the dustless thoughts;

From now on, all the true delusions have been abandoned, and dare to call the first class of the Cold Mountain.

This is the essence of his interpretation of simple life.

There were not many clothes in the clouds, that is, three or five, but each one had been worn for more than ten years.

The only thing he didn't change was always clean and tidy.

He wore only a few pieces of clothing, at least for more than ten years, and many fans who admired him brought a lot of good clothes such as Ayara satin to give, and he gave them to the poorer people as soon as he changed hands.

In terms of life, he advocated cleanliness and orderliness. "Eat without sleeping." Is his immutable principle.
