Park's lawsuit to claim 11.6 billion won against his brother and wife will officially go to trial this afternoon.
Park so-hong formally sued his brother and sister-in-law in June, arguing that they had embezzled 8.6 billion won of their own money over the past 30 years by using their agents. Soon after, Park so-hong raised the amount of the claim to 11.6 billion won on the grounds that prosecutors found that his brother and sister-in-law had embezzled funds from his private account. In response to Park Soo-hong's accusations, Park So-hong's brother denied it, saying that he did not encroach on his brother's property, and that his brother's income seemed low only for reasons such as reasonable tax avoidance.
