PRIMITIVE DOGS

Many modern dog breeds are the result of centuries of breeding for specific functional traits, but some dogs often thought of as primitive dogs have remained close to the primitive genetic "blueprint" of their wolf ancestors. As one of the dog groups, the original dog is not yet clearly defined, and not all authoritative people agree with this kind of dog.

PRIMITIVE DOGS

Like many different enumerated classifications, the primitive dog is a diverse group of dogs, but many of the dog breeds in this group have typical wolf characteristics, such as vertical ears, wedge-shaped heads with pointed noses, howl rather than barking, they are usually short-haired, depending on the origin of the coat color and density, most primitive dogs have estrus once a year, unlike other domestic dogs estrus twice a year.

PRIMITIVE DOGS

Canine experts are now very interested in primitive dogs because of their weak history with breeding programs and their relationship with humans. These primitive dogs originated from all over the world, including the Carolinas in North America and rare Singing Dogs that are genetically close to the Australian Wild Dog in New Guinea. Primitive dogs evolved naturally, rather than being bred specifically for appearance and temperament, and are therefore not considered to be fully domesticated dog breeds.

PRIMITIVE DOGS

The New Guinea Singing Dog is endangered, and people are more likely to see it in zoos than at home. This dog is not adapted to domesticated life. Probably moved to New Guinea from prehistoric times. Several dog breeds are classified as primitive dogs, and they are believed to have been influenced by other dog breeds over thousands of years, such as the Basingi, which long been used as a hunting dog in their birthplace before becoming a popular pet dog. For example, the Mexican hairless dog, which is genetically similar to the hairy dog breed, is very similar to the dog breed depicted in the artworks and artificial products of ancient human civilization.

PRIMITIVE DOGS

Recent genetic studies have shown that there are two types of dogs in the original dog group that should not be classified as primitive dogs. Namely the Pharaoh Hound and the Ibiza Hound. Both dogs are widely believed to be descendants of the Egyptian Big-eared Hound depicted in ancient paintings from 5,000 years ago, but genetic evidence suggests that the genetic chain has not continued for many centuries, and they are likely to be an adjunct to ancient dog breeds.
