Yesterday sent a selfie of me, I see a lot of students are interested in this, then today I will simply share its secrets.

iPhone 13 Pro front camera portrait mode shooting
Hello, I am Ye Zi, today is the 1756th day of photography morning self-study to accompany you. Today I want to talk about my selfie, because you really asked a lot of good questions.
One of my classmates, Frankkk, asked me: Wouldn't close-up glasses be better?
This classmate did not say how your suggestion was, first of all, you still found one of the most critical points in this photo, that is, the reflection in my glasses. I was actually inspired by an official demo from Apple that they had a photo of portrait photography that was taken by other photographers to prove that their phone's portrait mode was very good. A big feature of that sample is that there is a reflection in the character's glasses, and behind the character is a lot of neon light. So I copied this picture completely, but I didn't take myself as a silhouette, because there were still other lighting on my body in the light environment at that time, and it was still bright.
So this photo has two very important considerations when shooting, the first is to find a bunch of good neon lights. The second is that you must be a side face, so that the inside of the glasses can reflect neon lights. In fact, I took three pictures at this angle, because when I was obliquely like this- even when I wasn't looking at the lens, I didn't know how reflective my glasses were, so I tried three times to take this picture. So this glasses reflection is really a point. But wouldn't it be better for "Frankkk" to talk about glasses for a close-up? Mainly my eyes are not good-looking, I don't want you to see what my eyes look like, I just want to come to a mysterious, the eyes are basically blocked by those reflections, so I am deliberately shooting a little farther away. In addition, this photo was actually trying the iPhone 13 Pro at the time, not seriously doing what creation, in fact, it is also a test process, and it is not so serious to deliberate on this composition, but I am still satisfied overall.

So by the way, in fact, my current avatar photo - that is, I have let you vote in the past, most of you still prefer this red and blue avatar photo. This photo is actually playing with the reflection of the glasses, but this one will be more meaningful, because the reflection in the glasses is when the new crown virus first emerged, everyone did not know much about the virus, did not know how to deal with it, the most panicked time I have been shooting the current situation of the new crown epidemic on the street, I wear a gas mask, the glasses reflect the date just after the New Year, so that this reflection is more meaningful.
Well, we will talk about this problem here, and then there is a classmate called "Rub me down the waist bar", he said: Teacher Ye has always wondered, what is the meaning of photographers who like to wear this black mask?
This question is also very good, I want to post here by the way, after I sent this photo in the circle of friends, as long as the friends and classmates I know have met, their first reaction to the evaluation of this photo is: thin and thin, so the meaning of black masks is not thin?
Of course, carefully speaking, it has three characteristics. The first is that you should pay attention to the fact that black is a very absorbent color, it belongs to the typical background color in all colors, it will look smaller, it should theoretically only appear in the background, right? Everything should have some color, it should be in front of the black background, so other things will become very front, or very large and swollen, especially those neon lights are behind my black mask as a background, so the background appears more eye-catching than my mask, more than my face. So the corresponding white is more fat, if your face is too thin, then please bring a white mask.
The second feature of this mask is that you can notice that its shape is relatively large, the part of the face, especially the part of the chin, is wrapped very tightly, and the lower side is like a large triangle, which can be seen from the side. So this mask can hide almost all the places on your face where there is extra flesh for you.
Another very important point is that we like pictures with a larger contrast ratio. It was when you photographed me, I saw that there was no hair, a big bald head. The eyes don't necessarily look so dark and the eyelashes can't be seen, so a black mask is especially important because it's the only dark color on my face. With this dark color, it can make my person more spiritual, so this is a visual effect that is achieved through high contrast.
So you see that you can use it everywhere in your photography life, and you have a careful machine. In fact, because the photographer has relatively high requirements for photos, he is often not satisfied with the self-photographed by others, and the head photos are often taken by themselves with the help of mirrors or other means, so photographers even men will have some selfie experience.
If you are also very interested in selfies, the two outdoor shooting activities of the Summer Palace on November 6th and November 7th, I can also teach you some selfie techniques, small, but it will work.
