On the afternoon of June 4, jiuquan city yellow spot star tianniu green prevention and control site promotion meeting was held. At the meeting, the relevant responsible persons of Suzhou District, Jinta County and Guazhou County respectively introduced the successful experience of cutting dry and updating and removing the source of points, and the relevant person in charge of the Jiuquan Forest Defense Station analyzed and predicted the occurrence trend of forest harmful organisms such as the Yellow Spot Star Tianniu and grasshopper in our city this year, and proposed targeted prevention and control measures.
In the morning, the participants also observed the demonstration sites of cutting dry and renewing and using woodpeckers to prevent and control the yellow spot star Tianniu in The Sanhe Forest Farm in Suzhou District, Jiusha Road and the Western Han Dynasty Jiuquan Scenic Spot, and the Northern Suburbs Park.
It is understood that the yellow-spotted star tianniu is a destructive moth dry pest, mainly harmful to poplar, willow, locust and other forest trees, and is one of the dangerous forestry pests in the country. Since it was first discovered in Jiuquan in 2004, it has now spread to Suzhou District, Jinta County, and Dunhuang City, with an area of 57,000 mu. In recent years, although the forestry technology departments at all levels in Jiuquan City have comprehensively implemented policies and extensively mobilized social forces to prevent and control, the spread trend of insect plagues has been effectively curbed, and the density of insect populations has also decreased year by year, gradually reaching the situation that insects are not a disaster, but the threat of the rebound and spread of insects still exists.
The purpose of this meeting is to summarize and exchange the achievements and typical experiences of green prevention and control of Tianniu, analyze and identify the key issues restricting the effectiveness of green prevention and control, comprehensively promote the green and precise prevention and control technology of Tianniu, promote the green prevention and control of forest pests in Jiuquan City, ensure forestry ecological security, and promote rural revitalization.
