Foreign media concern: China has promised to provide assistance to Afghanistan

According to the Effit News Agency Kabul reported on October 26, the Afghan Taliban held a meeting with a high-level Chinese delegation in Qatar on the 26th to discuss the "important" issues of Afghan reconstruction, including China's assistance to Afghanistan, which is suffering from a serious humanitarian crisis.

Taliban spokesman Bilal Karimi told EFE that the meeting "discusses political, diplomatic, economic and other important issues."

The delegations were led by Acting Foreign Minister Mottaki of the Afghan Interim Government and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Karimi added that the meeting also discussed "strengthening relations between the two countries and china's humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan."

Taliban official spokesman Zabiula Mujahid said China promised to provide humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan.

While not revealing all the details of the talks, Karimi said the two sides made some decisions on the export of dried Afghan fruits to China and the exchange of Afghan students in China.

In a statement issued after the meeting, the Taliban expressed China's support for the Taliban government, which has made significant achievements in good governance and security in the past two months.

Karimi said both leaders spoke of "investing in and (maintaining) positive relations between the two countries," but he did not provide more details about that. The two sides also discussed all issues that could generate profits and contribute to the development and progress of both countries, including those related to past projects, which were expected to be revived in the future.
