During his work, he is down-to-earth, inquisitive, and diligent in business technology. Due to his outstanding performance, he was promoted to the position of running squad leader in 2000. In May 2001, Zhou Yi joined the Communist Party of China. In 2002, at the age of 21, Zhou Yi was promoted to deputy head of the biotechnology unit in charge of production technology. Biotechnology unit is a professional department in charge of production technology in the power station, the production and technology of the power station are all responsible for the department, the "rice bowl" of the power station is all controlled by the biotechnology unit, and the benefits of the power station are good, and the wages of the workers are high. During his tenure as deputy chief of the Biotechnology Unit, he combined with the actual situation of the power station, prepared the equipment maintenance plan and the implementation plan for major and minor repairs, and completed various preventive tests and tests of the grounding network grounding resistance before the thunderstorm season every year, as well as the normal maintenance of the turbine and the governor. After hearing the news, Zhou Yiyi got up from the bed and quickly took tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers and rushed to the factory. Because the unit is running, can not be stopped, if the shutdown, the reservoir water level rise water will overflow the canal and wash away the canal fields and farmers, and also because the canal overflow caused losses to the power generation of the power station, Zhou Yi decided to take the operation maintenance. At that time, the water of the filter sprayed him with water, almost like a "chicken in the soup". The cold air of the deep winter hit people, his body was cold, he completely ignored it, and insisted on removing all the debris from the filter of the unit for an hour, and the hidden dangers of the accident were completely eliminated. After he observed for half an hour, he was relieved to leave. Even frozen with hunger, he had a cold. But he still insisted on going to work the next day, and colleagues said that Zhou's chief was "iron man".
In April 2010, Zhou Yi was promoted to deputy station manager in charge of production, and the burden on his body was heavier. In order to strengthen the management of safe production and reduce the occurrence of various accidents, he often goes deep into the workshop to carry out safety hazard investigation and equipment maintenance to prevent various accidents. In order to improve the utilization rate of equipment, Zhou Yi strictly follows the equipment test procedures and unit maintenance procedures of the power plant substation, and organizes personnel to carry out comprehensive maintenance of all power generation equipment in the power station. During his tenure, he reinforced the slip ring insulation of two excitators three times; replaced the bearings of 1# and 2# generators; tested the grounding resistance of all the equipment of the substation every spring; and conducted a preventive test on generators, transformers, cables, transformers, and circuit breakers once every three years. Through various maintenance and tests, the fault is eliminated in the bud, so that the utilization rate of the unit is greatly improved, and the annual power generation is increased by 100,000 kWh. In 2011, when the power station microcomputer automation transformation project was launched, Zhou Yi led all employees to carry forward the spirit of self-reliance and not afraid of hardship in construction, and organized the backbone of business technology to learn the drawings first and master the wiring principle. At the same time, under the guidance of the technical personnel of Hunan Huazi Technology Co., Ltd., while studying, installing, meticulous construction, overtime installation for more than a month at night to zero point, the staff in the station have a new understanding and understanding of new products and new technologies. In October 2015, the power station implemented the transformation of the unit efficiency storage capacity, and the generator, transformer and water turbine were completely replaced. The manufacturer sent technicians to provide comprehensive guidance, and the power station organized personnel to pour and install. Time is tight and the task is heavy, just at this time, his daughter-in-law was hospitalized due to severe hypertension, cervical spondylosis and gynecological diseases, no one did the meal, no one sent, no one cared for him, crying and calling him and saying: "Your family does not want it, the daughter-in-law does not want it, the child does not care, the power station is your home..." He said: "I am really sorry, I really can't go away, let my mother take care of you, let my father take care of your grandson for a few days..." Hard, he ate and lived in the construction site and factory for three months, completed the installation task a month in advance, and increased the power generation for the power station by more than 400,000 degrees. Increased income by more than 100,000 yuan.
Shoulder the heavy lifting
In June 2017, entrusted by the party group of Yunyang District Water Conservancy and Lake Bureau, Zhou Yi served as the station manager of Dishuiyan Power Station. From a single responsibility for production technology to a full charge of all the work of the power station, the burden on his shoulders is heavier.
On the day of taking office, in the face of the actual situation of the power station, a safety production meeting was quickly held to study and solve the problems of few duty personnel at the power station, the elderly, and the inability of business technology to keep up. Eating in the canteen of the power station, except for him and some personnel needs, there are no other employees. In order to reduce the expenditure, at the meeting, he decisively proposed the abolition of the canteen. In this way, he insisted on eating instant noodles at noon for nearly four years. The daughter-in-law lost her temper with him and said, "You are a station manager, eating instant noodles every day, and now you have stomach diseases (reflux esophagitis and stomach ulcers) that are already very serious." But he smiled and said nothing. As long as it can save more than 20,000 yuan per year for the power station, he feels that it is very worthwhile. He tried everything to reduce his expenses in order to ensure that social security premiums were paid on time and that the wages of employees were paid normally. In the past four years, the power station has repaid a total of 1.4 million yuan in debts.
Channel flood control work task is arduous, the power station channel is 5.6 kilometers long, responsible for agricultural irrigation and drinking water for people and livestock in two villages, the geological and geomorphological foundation along the line is poor, in his four years as the station manager of the power station, there have been 3 large collapses, small dangers are countless, each time he is the first to pick up the flashlight to put on a raincoat, regardless of day and night rush to the front, the first time to lift the gate to evacuate the water, the loss to the minimum.
At 12:00 noon on May 23, 2018, he was eating when his mobile phone rang and a well-meaning fellow called him and said, "There is a leak outside the channel of the Longsugou section of your power station." He put down the bowl and chopsticks and quickly patrolled the canal, rushed to the Longsugou section at the first time, found that the channel water overflowed, and judged that the landslide body here was blocked and overturned. He immediately walked up to the edge of the canal, crawled like a snake on the ditch that was only a foot wide and overflowing with floodwaters, and climbed to the gate to lift the gate to evacuate the water. Due to the timely withdrawal of water, the cracks in the foundation of the channel sink only more than 30 meters long, and the loss is reduced to a minimum, once the collapse, 30 acres of farmland and 3 households below the channel will be washed away. In order to ensure safety, he organized all employees to work overtime to stop the water for 11 days, and comprehensively repaired more than 30 meters of inclined canals. At more than five o'clock in the afternoon on May 5, 2021, the No. 3 hole above the front pool of the power station and more than 50 sides of the landslide, filling the channel, after the withdrawal of water found that the channel has cracked, part of the canal wall tilted, it was the peak season of power generation after the rain, can be connected to water power generation a day in advance, there are one day of economic benefits, so Zhou Yi made a decision, immediately erected a line to install lighting at night overtime repair channel, divided into two shifts at the same time, a class to repair the canal strong, a class to remove the channel slag, after four days and nights of hard work, the channel on schedule through the water generation. During these 4 days, they ate instant noodles and drank mineral water every day. Director Chen of the Water Conservancy Bureau and Chairman Wang have repeatedly advised not to carry out construction at night, and construction is not safe at night, and it is necessary to ensure the safety of workers. For the efficiency of the power station, he withstood great pressure, not only worried about the safety of the construction personnel, but also worried about the quality of the project, the progress of construction, etc., because of the worry about fatigue, staying up late, coupled with the scorching sun at noon, he had inflammation in the lungs, and after more than ten days of hanging bottles in the Qingqu Health Center, the condition had not improved, and he was put into the normal work of the power station.
Fight the epidemic and fight the poor
In the Spring Festival of 2020, Wuhan swept the city due to the new crown virus, Wuhan was completely locked down, and the whole province of Hubei was closed for management.
During the COVID-19 epidemic, the Dishuiyan Power Station was shut down in January and fully sealed. In this month's free time, Zhou Yi took the initiative to ask the Qingqu government to fight and join the ranks of volunteers who set up a card to guard the road.
