The just-concluded Fourth Zhejiang Provincial Sports Conference brought good news that the Yuhuan Dragon Boat Association Men's Dragon Boat Team won three bronze medals. This is the first time that Yuhuan has represented Taizhou, filling the medal gap in Taizhou in the project.
Dragon boat men's 100m straight track racing is a big hit in dragon boat racing. Since the start of the gun at noon in Quzhou Xin'an Lake on October 24, the Yuhuan team has defeated quzhou and Hangzhou teams in the preliminary and semi-finals, and finally met with the three strong teams of Wenzhou, Ningbo and Jinhua in the final with the second place in the group.
In the final, Wenzhou and Ningbo won gold and silver medals in 22.05 seconds and 22.39 seconds respectively, and Yuhuan team won third place with 24.21 seconds. In addition, the Yuhuan team also won bronze medals in the 200m and 500m straights respectively.
It is reported that the Yuhuan Dragon Boat Association was established in 2019, with a total of nearly 100 members from various industry fields. The 22 players selected this time, the youngest is 28 years old, the oldest is more than 60 years old, the average age of all the participating teams.
A total of 46 major events and 457 minor events were set up in this provincial sports conference, and delegations from 11 districted cities in the province and 12 provincial industry sports associations (systems) and provincial (ministry) enterprise delegations participated. As one of the events, dragon boat attracted more than 400 athletes from 16 teams (including 9 men's teams and 7 women's teams) from all over the province.
