However, according to the official account of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Zi was born in September of the second year of Hongwu (1369), and Chen Youyu died in 1363, a difference of six years in between, so Zhu Zi could not be Chen Youyu's widow. If we have to say that the widow is widowed, Zhu Zi's half-brother Zhu Yu (born in 1364) is more likely, so Zhu Zi's claim of an illegitimate son is essentially unrealistic.
