Huang Shuyi was born in an enlightened family in Liuyang, Hunan Province, and attended Zhounan Girls' School at the age of 12, a new-style girls' school that has trained many well-known legendary women, such as Yang Kaihui, Cai Chang, Ding Ling and others.
