Recently, lamborghini Countach LP 500 was remodeled in the Concept Car category of Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este Antique Motor Show. To recreate this highly collectible historic model, the Polo Storico Classic Car Restoration Center of Lamborghini Motors Company took more than 25,000 hours to complete the work, and the Lamborghini Centro Stile Design Center also played a crucial role in the reconstruction and styling supervision of the body.
At the Geneva Motor Show in March 1971, Car Lamborghini presented the "creative car" Countach LP 500, which instantly became the star model of the auto show, and the photos were widely disseminated and appeared in mainstream magazines around the world. The new model is believed to have replaced the legendary Miura in technology and design, writing a whole new chapter in the history of the car. The Countach LP 500 was scrapped in March 1974 after a crash test, and the classic has since ceased to exist.
At the end of 2017, a classic car enthusiast and an important lamborghini customer asked the Polo Storico Classic Car Restoration Center if it was possible to reinvent the Countach LP 500, a legendary model that can only be known through the photos of the time.
In the first few months after the program, Lamborghini acquired all available materials and conducted an in-depth analysis. "The collection of documents is critical." Giuliano Cassataro, Head of Technical Services and Polo Storico's Classic Car Restoration Center, said: "We focus on all the details, overall consistency and technical specifications of the model. "Photographs, documents, meeting reports, original drawings and memories of those in charge at the time – all of these help to determine the form and function of every detail as accurately as possible." In order to rebuild the tires installed on the original Countach LP 500 model, the Pirelli Foundation played an important role in providing historical archival materials.
The remodeling effort began with the platform chassis, which was completely different from the tubular frame of the subsequent Countach models. In addition to redesigning it, the Polo Storico Classic Car Restoration Center also needed to decide to build the working system it used to adapt to the production methods of the time. The same process was used to build the body and was analyzed and defined using a variety of modern technical instruments. Once the sheet metal tapping molding phase is complete, the traditional Italian process system takes over the technical work. A similar process was used in the interior, including the lightweight diagnostic instruments used in the 1971 prototype. All the mechanical parts of the vehicle, some from lamborghini's original spare parts or repair parts, others are reconstructed according to the original model materials.

Founded in 2015, the Lamborghini Polo Storico Classic Car Restoration Center is dedicated to preserving the brand's historic character, with the main job of providing certification and restoration services for Lamborghini models produced before 2001. To this end, the Classic Car Restoration Center is responsible for preserving and obtaining new resource information for the company's archives, making it possible to establish and preserve the value of all classic Lamborghini models. Due to the needs of lovers of lamborghini classic models, the restoration center is also particularly focused on the production of spare parts that are no longer available on the market.
