Grey whales

Gray whales, also known as eastern Pacific gray whales, travel between feeding and breeding areas every year.

Gray whales are mostly found in Canada, Mexico, Russia, the United States, China, Japan, North Korea and South Korea.

Gray whales are currently the only and oldest species in the cetacean family. It has lived on Earth for 30 million years. Gray whales have dark grey bodies, a slightly lighter belly, and irregular spots on their bodies, all left by parasites.

The baleen of the gray whale has about 130 --- 180 pieces on each side, each 40 ---50 cm long, and the whiskers are short and thick, all yellow-white.

Gray whales do not have dorsal fins, but have 7---15 small hump-like bumps in their tails. The largest of them is the first from the bottom.

Gray whales have two jet holes, about 7 cm. The rear end is slightly farther away, about 20 cm. In the shape of a V, the two fog columns spewed out resembled a fog pillar.

Gray whales like to eat crustaceans and swimming fish, as well as sea urchins, starfish, conch and hermit crab sea cucumbers.
