Qiu Haiying visited Dingjiaping (located in Zhonghe Village, Yanghe Town, Huaying City) in the middle of Huaying Mountain for several times. "The original Xinhua Daily's paper mill 'Dingjiaping Paper Factory' was built here." Qiu Haiying gazed fondly at the remaining foam ponds, milling tanks, cooking stoves and some factory sites, looking back at the past and feeling a thousand emotions. For that period of history, Qiu Haiying was the only party newspaper published and distributed publicly by our party in the areas ruled by the Kuomintang during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the early period of the War of Liberation, and was founded in Wuhan in January 1938, suspended in Wuhan on October 25, and published in Chongqing on the same day. In the process of newspaper publication and distribution, the Kuomintang government made many difficulties in a vain attempt to obstruct the normal circulation of Xinhua Daily by cutting off the supply of paper. In order to solve the paper difficulties of Xinhua Daily, in the autumn of 1941, the underground party used the factory and equipment of the former Guang'an "Wuquan Paper Factory" in Dingjiaping to open its own paper mill, dingjiaping paper mill. The paper produced was boarded on a boat at the mouth of Qingxikou in Huaying, transported along the Canal River into the Jialing River to Chongqing, and finally transferred to xinhua daily. "Zhou Enlai also commented that 'Dingjiaping Paper Factory is like an arsenal in our rear.'" Qiu Haiying said.

Qiu Haiying also said that Huaying Mountain is not only unique in red culture, but also has a long history and strong folk culture. Since the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, the indigenous mountain people of Huaying Mountain have coexisted with immigrants, and their songs and dances such as "Bayu Dance" and "Yuntong Dance" are simple and rugged, pure and beautiful.
