Sipadan Sipadan

Pilgrimage to the God Aquarium

Special thanks to Johnny for sharing his diving experience in Sipadan with us.

Any experience in Sipadan deserves to be recorded in history.

Sipadan is a top dive site and is on the must-do list for most divers in the world. You may soon get tired of seeing turtles, as their numbers are on par with the density of dense schools of fish in this area. Fish swim through this water, like a Malaysian driver driving around Kuala Lumpur, fast and many (poof, this metaphor is really too graphic, blame me)!

Barracuda and big-eyed trevally gather around the stunning rocks, while eagles and manta rays glide gracefully through a powerful stream of steam. An innumerable swarm of sharks can be seen from a vantage point near the steep and peeling walls. Hammerhead sharks, grey reef sharks and whitetip sharks are just some of the diverse sharks divers encounter. All in all, Sipadan is a diver's paradise.

Semporna Semporna

Divers certification concentration camp

Located on the east coast of Sabah, Semporna is home to the Bayu or maritime gypsies. They live in stilt villages that dot the coastline. But this is what the waters around Semporna are more often used as a springboard for divers from around the world, including Madagin and Simil. Both islands are fantastic places for diving.

The fine powdery soft sand and the picturesque translucent water are home to countless creatures. The two islands were found in the Alice Waterway, a large ocean-connected axis that connects Sipadan Island and has the same varied diving terrain as the marine life of this water. It's perfect for those who love upper class fish, microbes, colorful coral landscapes and flocks of fish.

At Semporna, you can easily find over 1000 dive sites, all the perfect collisions, and surely all your diving needs will be met.

Miri Miri

A new field of water photography

Stretching sandy beaches, colorful national parks, miri in Sarawak, Malaysia, is actually just a thin and restrained leisure and livable city. The beach with superior sand quality makes people stop for a long time and do not want to leave, not to mention the cheap, fresh and delicious seafood restaurants and seafood barbecue stalls near the beach, which can definitely greatly meet the needs of a large number of foodies.

Of course, in addition to the foodie's praise for Miri, diving enthusiasts will not miss this place - there is a unique Siwa oil well studded with colorful corals, the famous World War II shipwreck Japanese ship Atago Maru ...

And the "Eve Garden", formed by 15 different coral reefs, is definitely one of the best places to learn to dive. There is also Miri-Sibuti Coral Reefs National Park, a hotbed of 600 to 800 species of corals, attracting thousands of divers from around the world every year to witness the richness and diversity of marine life. Think of elephant-eared sponges, foam corals, giant anemones, anchor corals, 2-3 meter-sized gorgonian fans. Coming here gives underwater photographers the illusion that they have entered paradise, with so many picturesque places to explore.

Kuching Kuching

Shipwreck diving treasure

Departing from Kuching to the South China Sea near Sadan Island, you'll pass through some small fishing villages and mangroves. Along with the other two small islands, it is specifically marked as a green and hawksbill turtle sanctuary. Here you can learn about some conservation measures and visit the breeding area. The surrounding waters are rich in marine species and a variety of soft and hard corals that fascinate snorkelers and divers.

Perhaps few people know that Kuching is a treasure trove of shipwreck diving. Beneath the shore are World War II shipwrecks, full of mottled traces of history; several accidentally sunk merchant ships; artificial reef shipwrecks; and the most exciting paradise for avid shipwreck divers. In addition to shipwreck diving, a speedboat ride from Kuching will soon take you to Satand Island, and some divers especially like to come here to hunt for curiosity, slowly diving into the emerald green waters to visit the home of the oldest sea turtles.

Kota Kinabalu / Kota Kinabalu

Shop around and dive a dragon

As the capital of Sabah, Kota Kinabalu is a bustling metropolis with the impressive Mount Kinabalu as a backdrop. With more than 30 ethnic minorities known as the "KK" home, it's no wonder the dishes are both exciting and delicious. Don't miss the night market, where just one hawker centre showcases every herb and spice from Malay.

As for the fun of diving, Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, which can be reached by speedboat in 15-20 minutes, is enough to blow your mind, which is made up of five gorgeous islands. The dive sites and marine life in these gorgeous waters are particularly beautiful, and diving here you will have the opportunity to see some of the world's most diverse and exotic marine life. The shore reefs on the islands provide habitat for worms, sponges, carapaces and molluscs. At the same time you can also see all kinds of starfish, sea urchins, sea cucumbers and sea feathers. Other notable dive sites include Angel Rock and Main Rock, where you can dive near a row of large white boulders decorated with colorful corals and also see diverse schools of fish swimming by.

Tioman Island Tioman

Nature in its most pristine state

Tioman Island is made up of 64 small volcanic islands, almost 98% of which are jungle and lush, while the coastline of the island is winding and winding, and the shores are rocky. The pristine golden sand beach is clean and soft, and the water is clear and quiet, which sets the most comfortable environment for children's shoes that come here to learn diving.

Legend has it that a long time ago, the mischievous and wayward Dragon King Three Princesses were attracted by the charming scenery of the local area in order to escape from marriage, stopped for a long time, and finally interrupted the trip, transforming into Tioman Island, the two peaks of Mount Simukul and Mount Tin on the island were her body, and the clouds around the mountain were the gases she exhaled.

With over 20 quality dive sites on the edge of Tioman Island, you can choose any one to enter this wonderful underwater world, and then you will always be deeply moved by the picture of batfish, trevally, sea bream, stingray and grouper weaving through the colorful soft and hard corals.

Redang Island

Relive the Hong Kong drama classic "Summer Momo Tea"

Have seen the movie "Summer Momo Tea" children's shoes, or those who have seen the photos of Redang Island, the blue sky, the smooth white beach, the crystal clear water, can be described as a unique scenery of the sea and sky, may make you mistakenly think that this is why Redang Island is so popular.

In fact, it is really not, the real must-see of Redang Island is still under the clear water! The powerful currents add more to your release dive than a little, just the diversity of the underwater landscapes: minarets, boulders, undersea mountains are enough to open your eyes, not to mention the swarms of barracuda, parrotfish weaving through patches of black coral reefs, and the countless turtles, tuna and other big guys that bring life and vitality to the sea.

Perhentian Islands

Niche selection of dive lines

Covered with primeval forests, swaying palms in the wind, white powdery beaches, blue and turquoise waters, such a beautiful and quiet perhentian island, has always liked niche routes, "unusual road" how can you be willing to miss.

The warm, cosy waters and biodiversity you might not have imagined will make divers from all over the world flock to this obscure, low-key island off Malaysia's east coast. Many divers have encountered different species of sharks here, as well as goldfish, moray eels and spinners. Also not to be missed is a large cargo ship carrying sugar that sank here in 2000. And here to a special sunrise dive, to see the seahorse in the sea release posture, just listening to it is enough to make people's blood boil.

Langkawi Langkawi

Visit the splendid coral gardens

Langkawi has many dive sites, whether you are a little white or a big god, there is always a dive point here that can satisfy you.

The most popular dive sites are Coral Garden, Sunken Boat Point, Grouper Farm, Sponge Reef, Lembu Rocks, Shark Point, House Reef... Here you can see the big fish on the screen, as well as manta rays, seahorses, sea bass, angelfish and snapper.

Here, I would like to recommend Kaca Sunken Wrecks – several sunken fishing boats that were once home to a variety of soft and hard corals, clownfish, blacktip sharks, barracudas and scorpionfish. It is worth mentioning the high density of plankton in Pulau Kaca, so the underwater visibility varies from 5 to 20 meters in all seasons throughout the year.
