Northern Hawk

In Beijing Olympic Forest Park, a young bird of the North Hawk Crane that has migrated south has stayed in the park for many days, which has attracted the attention of the Bird Watching Community in Beijing. The number of northern hawks is not rare, but it is only stopped for a few days in Beijing, and the bird is highly hidden and rarely calls, so it is not easy to find. Bird watching records in Beijing have only appeared about ten times. A ailanthus tree in Orson South Park is full of caterpillars, and it is speculated that it is precisely because the caterpillars on the tree attract the young bird of the northern hawk crane to refuse to leave.

The Northern Hawk Cuckoo, also known as the Brown-bellied Cuckoo and the Northern Brown-bellied Cuckoo, is a bird of the genus Cuckoo of the Rhododendron family. In China, it is a summer migratory bird, and some are a traveling bird and a winter migratory bird. Spring comes in May and autumn moves in September and October. The slate on the top of the head, hind neck, side of the head, back and wings of the northern hawk is grey. The iris is orange to vermilion, the eye area is yellow, the upper corner of the mouth is black, the base and lower corners of the mouth are green, and the feet are bright yellow. It is found in the southern neighboring countries of China to the Malay Archipelago, the former Soviet Union in the north, Japan in the east, and the eastern and southern parts of the Chinese mainland, and is mostly found in evergreen forests or dense mountain scrubs.
