Confiscated birds
In order to severely crack down on illegal and criminal acts that destroy bird resources, such as illegally destroying the habitat of wild birds, the living environment of breeding grounds and illegal hunting, killing, purchasing, selling and transporting birds, we will create a safe rest and foraging harbor for migratory birds in spring. Recently, the Management and Conservation Bureau of Jinping Watershed National Nature Reserve in Yunnan Province has intensified its crackdown on illegal crimes of destroying bird resources and seized a case of illegal hunting of wild birds.
During the patrol inspection, the staff of the Jinping Watershed National Nature Reserve Management and Protection Bureau found that Gao X, a villager in the village of Adebo Rural Village in Jinping Miao and Yao Dai Autonomous County, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, entered the watershed yakou of the Jinping Watershed National Nature Reserve without obtaining a hunting license, used tools such as glare flashlights and net pockets to lure wild animals by light, and seized 7 wild birds illegally hunted by Gao X at the scene. After identification, they are: 1 white-breasted bitter evil bird, 1 red-winged crested crane, 2 pond herons, 1 brown-bellied cuckoo, 1 purple-backed reed seabird, and 1 Dong chicken, all of which belong to the beneficial or important economic and scientific research value of terrestrial wild animals protected by the state.

Gao's behavior has constituted an illegal act of illegally hunting wild animals, and the Jinping Watershed National Nature Reserve Management and Conservation Bureau, together with the forestry and grassland department of Jinping County, in accordance with the provisions of the Wildlife Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, imposed a penalty of 3,100 yuan on Gao's illegal hunting of wild animals, and confiscated the administrative punishment of all wild birds obtained by his illegal hunting in accordance with the law. Here, we call on the broad masses of the people to abide by the laws and regulations on the protection of wild animals, prohibit the illegal hunting, eating and transportation of wild animals and their products, and do not test the law by example. In the next step, the Jinping Watershed National Nature Reserve Management and Protection Bureau will increase the publicity of laws and regulations related to wildlife protection, increase the intensity of wild patrols and forest protection, increase the investigation and punishment of illegal acts of illegally destroying migratory birds, resolutely find them together, strictly investigate together, never tolerate them, effectively protect the safety of migratory birds, and escort the migration of migratory birds and their habitats in spring.
