According to the news of the General Office of the General Administration of Customs on March 19, Beilun Customs, a subsidiary of Ningbo Customs, intercepted several live beetle insects when inspecting a batch of Sierra hedgehog rosewood square material.

Identified by the Ningbo Customs Technology Center, it was identified as an important forest pest - medium pair long beetle, along with the concave-fronted elf beetle, red striped offtail beetle, hunting aphid family, aphid family and other harmful organisms. Beilun Customs has carried out fumigation and dehagenation treatment under the supervision of the batch of goods.

The genus Long-winged beetle is a forest drilling moth pest, widely distributed in Southeast Asia, Africa, the Americas and other regions, the pest host range is wide, involving more than 30 genera of Acacia, Artichoke, Citrus, Pine and other more than 30 genera. Medium-to-long beetles drill moth tunnels in the xylem of trees to form moths, which harm the xylem of trees and reduce the use value of wood. Once the epidemic is introduced, it will endanger the safety of forestry production and cause serious economic losses.
