CCTV news: Since the summer of this year, many places in China have suffered serious natural disasters, in this regard, the spokesman of the National Bureau of Statistics said yesterday (October 18) that although natural disasters have a certain impact on crop production, overall, autumn grain is expected to achieve a better harvest, which is conducive to a bumper harvest throughout the year.
In the first three quarters, the added value of China's agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery increased by 7.4% year-on-year, an average growth rate of 4.9% in two years, 0.6 percentage points faster than in the first half of the year. Among them, the added value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery in the third quarter increased by an average of 5.5% in two years, and the contribution rate to growth exceeded 10%.
Although some areas have suffered serious natural disasters, which have a certain impact on crop production, the climatic conditions for agricultural production are generally more suitable from a national perspective, and field management and disaster reduction measures are also strong. This year, summer grain and early rice have achieved double increases, with a total increase of 2.2%.
