Golden Autumn Residence Yanhai: Blue Waves Attract Migratory Birds to Ecological Beauty into the Painting

"This National Day, I specially drove from Ningxia to Ejin Naju Yanhai. It's so beautiful, swans and seagulls flying together, and I am enchanted by the beauty of the blue water and the sky. Ningxia tourist Li Ning excitedly told reporters. During the National Day holiday, many foreign tourists come to visit and punch in the Yanhai Sea, or enjoy a round of red sun jumping out of the sea, or play intimately with seagulls...

JuyanHai in October has faded the heat and hustle and bustle of summer, and has a hint of autumn silence and magnificence. Standing on the dock of Dongjuyan Sea, looking east, the clear blue lake shisha waves are vast, the reeds on the lake side are swaying, and birds such as seagulls, cormorants, gray geese, swans and other birds make pleasant calls, sometimes spreading their wings and flying high, sometimes hovering low.

Such beauty stems from the successful implementation of the Heihe River watershed. Located in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Juyanhai, located in the territory of the Ejin Banner of the Alxa League, is the tail Lu Lake of Heihe, the second largest inland river in China. It originates from the Heihe River in the depths of the Qilian Mountains, flows through Qinghai, Gansu and Inner Mongolia for more than 800 kilometers, and then flows into the two Gobi Depressions on the northwest edge of the Badain Jaran Desert, forming two major lakes in the east and west, collectively known as JuyanHai, which has been a station for the migration of many birds since ancient times, and has the reputation of "Juyanguze". Since the 1950s and 1960s, the middle reaches of the Heihe River have begun to carry out agricultural development, the consumption of water resources has increased significantly, and the amount of water entering Ejin Naqi has been greatly reduced, and even often cut off, and many lakes, springs and swamps have gradually disappeared. In 1961, the West Ju Yanhai dried up; in 1992, the East Ju YanHai dried up.

"Little Juyan Sea, affecting Zhongnanhai". The continuous deterioration of the ecology of Ejina Banner has attracted great attention from the state. In order to curb the overall deterioration trend of the downstream ecosystem, in August 2000, the state decided to implement the inter-provincial water division of the Heihe River, the unified dispatch of the main stream of the Heihe River, and the unified management of water resources in the whole basin. Since then, the black river has continued to flow downstream. In 2003, the Dongju Yanhai Lake Basin, which had disappeared for 11 years, crossed the water for the first time, and accumulated a stable water surface, recreating the magnificent and beautiful scene, and also rejuvenating the golden poplar and juyan oasis, one of the only three remaining places in the world known as "living fossils of plants" and the largest ecological natural treasure house in western China. Since August 2004, Dongju Yanhai has not dried up for 17 consecutive years.

"Remember more than a decade ago in Juyanhai, the sand sea is vast, the grass is missing, and the desolation is desolate, and now through the Heihe River water transfer project, the ecological maintenance system of juyanhai wetland tends to be perfect, and biodiversity is also constantly improving." Xu Zhigang, captain of the Ejin Naqi Wetland Protection and Law Enforcement Brigade, told reporters as a witness to the ecological changes in Juyanhai that in recent years, with the continuous improvement of the ecological environment of Juyanhai, migratory birds, especially swans, that have been extinct for nearly 10 years have revisited, and gray geese and yellow ducks by the lake have formed a certain population scale, and the number of bird populations is also increasing.

Up to now, 125 species of birds have flown to the JuyanHai wetlands from all over the world, and the population has increased from a few thousand to more than 100,000. In 2021, 12 species of birds will be added, including 1 species of first-class protected birds (white-bellied sea eagle), 7 species of national second-level protected birds (white-tailed harrier, brown-tailed eagle, common eagle, half-webbed sandpiper, crane feather crane, broad-billed sandpiper, sparrowhawk), and 4 species of "three haves" birds. The area of forest and grass has been restored to about 100,000 mu, and the area of aquatic vegetation such as reeds has increased from less than 1,000 mu at the beginning to about 30,000 mu.

The ecology is good, eco-tourism is also singing all the way, and the number of people who come to Juyanhai for tourism is increasing year by year. "Although it is late autumn, the original emerald green and dense reeds are yellow, but it has not affected the beautiful and magnificent landscape here. Taking a boat to the depths of the reeds to watch the swans paddling gracefully and leisurely in the water made me forget to be in the desert Gobi, as if I had arrived at a small island in the south. Li Chunxia, a Tourist from Shandong Who came to Juyanhai for the second time, closed her eyes and breathed in the humid air and lamented the ecological transformation of Juyanhai.

In the blink of an eye, the seagulls flew into the distance in the orange-yellow light... The green hymn composed by ecological water diversion for Juyanhai has been deeply imprinted in everyone's heart. Trainee journalist Shi Xiameng
