Gao Yan (c. 1738 - c. 1815) character Lan Shu, the number of the Red Chamber Foreign History, the Han army with yellow flag people, Qianlong Jinshi. Jiaqingjian Calendar Shun Tianxiang Examination Examiner, Jiangnan Province Imperial History, Criminal Department to give the matter medium. Therefore, he gave the poem "Yan Lover Says The Red Chamber". Modern researchers do the same, and argue that it has made many changes to the first eighty times. There are "Gao Lan Shu Collection", "Moon Hill House Testament", "Official Zhi Ji" and so on. Qing Dynasty literary scholar, "Dream of the Red Chamber" was supplemented by Gao Yan after eighty times.

Main achievements: Edited and published "Dream of the Red Chamber" Cheng Gaoben.
