This "teacher" is Ding Yixin's mother, Xu Zhengli, who tirelessly helps her son turn books and take pens. Class teacher Guan Yu said that this is Xu Zhengli's normal state, and this is the case in every class, because Xiaoding's limbs cannot move.
Xu Zhengli said that when his son was half a year old, he could not lift one of his legs. She and her husband took their son around for medical treatment, and eventually his son was diagnosed with frostbite. This is a rare form of motor neuron disease, and as the condition worsens, the body gradually becomes weak and atrophied.
In order to treat her son's illness, Xu Zhengli quit her job and took her husband and son to Wuhan, Beijing and other major hospitals for medical treatment, with little success.
Gradually, Ding Yixin could not walk, his hands did not listen to the call, and he needed to be taken care of around the clock. When she reached the age of school, Xu Zhengli wanted to send her child to a special school, but for various reasons she could not do so.
In Xu Zhengli's heart, as long as her son is happy, as for how much knowledge she can learn, she does not have too many expectations. Once, Xu Zhengli found that her son followed the children of the neighbors to learn pinyin and literacy, and he learned quite quickly. Therefore, Xu Zhengli became a person with a heart, asked the neighbor's children what knowledge they had learned, and then went home to teach their sons.
In this way, Ding Yixin intermittently learned some knowledge from primary school textbooks. "When I was six or seven years old, I found that my son especially liked to read, so I went to the library to lend him books." Xu Zhengli found that her son's reading speed was particularly fast, at first borrowing once or twice a month, and later borrowing several books a week.
Before the age of 14, Ding Yixin had read the vernacular version of "History" and "Zizhi Tongjian" at least 3 times, and also read Chinese and foreign famous works such as "Five Thousand Years of China", "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", "Water Margin", "Journey to the West", "The Count of Monte Cristo" and so on.

"When I first saw this child, I didn't feel like a sick child, and the curiosity in his eyes made me think I should help this eager child who was eager to learn." Principal Xu Huiming said that during the exchange, Xu Zhengli took the initiative to propose that she come to the school every day to accompany her and take care of her son's study and life.
The school arranged Ding Yixin in the class of guan yu, the head of the grade group, and his mother became his "tablemate".
