The Mirror: Rooney was photographed by two women while he was asleep and then called the police

According to the "Mirror" report, Derby county manager and Manchester United star Wayne Rooney recently had some embarrassing photos leaked out, and now he has called the police to deal with it.

Recently, several embarrassing photos of Rooney circulated on social media, showing 35-year-old Rooney sitting in a chair with her head bowed, her hands in her pockets, and falling straight asleep, while a scantily clad woman lay on the bed in the background. Two wine glasses and several empty bottles can be seen under the chair.

There is also a video of another woman farting next to the sleeping Rooney, which has been played 175,000 times.

In another photo, Rooney is awake, holding a half-full glass of wine with clearly visible blood and scratches on his knuckles.

The Mirror learned that the photos had been reported to Greater Manchester Police, which could have been a crime.

The images and videos appeared on Twitter on Sunday morning after being shared among a chat app's fan base.

One of the photos shows Rooney chatting with an unidentified girl in a dimly lit nightclub. In another image, he gestures with his right hand and a glass of wine in his left. Other photos and videos show Rooney sitting in a chair and falling asleep.

In one of the photos, titled "Sleepy Wayne," a blonde woman poses next to a sleeping Rooney, sticking out her tongue and making peace gestures (scissor hands), while in the background, another scantily clad woman is lying on the bed. Sunlight seeped through the gaps in the curtains, suggesting that the photo might have been taken during the day.

In another photo, a woman wearing a thong and with her skirt down to her knees poses just a few inches from Rooney's head.

In all of these photos, Rooney is wearing a black hoodie and black pants, and there is no indication that Rooney has any wrongdoing.

The timestamp of the photos shows "8.30", but it is unclear whether the photos were taken in the morning or evening, or on what date. It's unclear whether Rooney was in a hotel or a private residence.

It is understood that the woman in the photo is from Barofrines in Cumbria, about two hours' drive from Rooney's home, and the former England captain's younger brother John Rooney has played for Barrow for two seasons.

Rooney's agent, Paul Streiffe, declined to comment on the photos that were leaking from social media yesterday. Instead, he forwarded the call to PR expert Ian Munch, who provided crisis PR services to celebrities and other high-profile clients.
