At about 20:00 on August 18, the police on duty at the Yining Police Station of the Qilin Public Security Branch of the Qujing City Public Security Bureau received an alarm call from a woman in a community in Shuizhai. Before she could say a few words, the woman began to cry. The police saw that she was frightened, rushed to comfort her, and quickly rushed to the scene.
The woman's home lived on the first floor, and after the police arrived, they found a cauliflower snake about 1.5 meters long under the chest of drawer in her living room. At this time, the woman was still terrified and did not want to enter the house. Repeatedly begged the police to help her confirm whether there were other snakes in the house. After the police reconfirmed, they continued to say good words of encouragement before calming the woman's emotions and carefully entered the house.
According to the woman, at about 19:00 on the same day, due to the sweltering heat, she opened the front and back doors of the house for ventilation. But what she didn't expect was that seeing that the sky was getting dark, and when she went to close the door and turned back to the living room, she found a large snake with white light wandering in the living room, which frightened her scalp and made her scalp tingle, and she ran out screaming. Perhaps the snake was also frightened by her cry, so he found a cupboard and hid.
Subsequently, the police took the snake back to the police station and notified the forestry department to take it away and release it deep into the mountains.
It is understood that the scientific name of the snake is the king snake, also known as the cauliflower snake, which is one of the species with a large population of wild snakes, with a large body and non-toxic. It inhabits mountains, plains and hills, and is active along rivers, ponds, reservoirs and other near-water areas.
