1. Verstappen (9.8 points, match P1)
It was one of Verstappen's strongest races of the season, taking pole position at Mercedes' "base camp" and losing to Hamilton at the start of the race, but regaining the lead through a super aggressive strategy that allowed him to enjoy Austin's mania with the maturity and drive that only a championship leader can have. His performance has allowed Honda to win the U.S. Grand Prix for the first time since 1991, the team to win in the U.S. for the first time since 2013, and his first victory on U.S. soil. All of this impressed the judges.
2. Leclerc (9.4 points, match P4)
Leclerc finished P4 with a no-fault race and led the midstream team at speed, 25 seconds faster than Ricciardo in P5. On a track where Ferrari didn't expect to achieve high scores, the Monaco man even thought he could reach the podium on Sunday, and he was only 10 seconds behind Perez, speaking in strength.
3. Hamilton (9.2 points, game P2)
Hamilton performed well, but in the end his performance at Austin fell short of expectations. Overtook Verstappen into Turn 1 to take the lead until Red Bull opened the undercut tactic to put the Briton in trouble. He trailed his opponent by 8.8 seconds after the second stop, but he admirably chased after Verstappen. Many other factors – including overheating of the tyres, the slow car and the Dutchman's final acceleration – collectively "deprived" him of his victory.
4. Perez (8.4 points, match P3)
It was a test of Perez's endurance, and the Mexicans held out more than 30 laps without drinking water under the scorching COTA sun. But throughout the race he was calm, giving way to his teammates who rushed off the track at the start and then making sure he was on the podium. It was the performance of the number two driver that team leader Horner had been seeking for a long time.
5. Ricciardo (7.8 points, match P5)
Ricciardo, who trailed Leclerc by 25 seconds and lost a few positions in the opening, ended up stubbornly holding on to the P5. The Australian gradually regained form, gaining the upper hand in the competition with team-mate Norris and another Ferrari driver, Sainz, and holding out until the end of the race.
6. Vettel (7.8 points, P10)
Like Alpine, Aston Martin couldn't find feelings in Texas either. The penalty for changing the power unit caused Vettel to start from P18, and the German rose three places in the first lap and dodged trouble, then overtook Russell and Giovinaz to catch Up with Gasley's retirement, Kimi's mistake and lucky to score points.
7. Yuki Kakuda (7.4 points, match P9)
Kakuda's performance was in line with expectations for him, proving himself when defending Bottas, which undoubtedly helped the big bulls in the constructors' standings. The race handled well in the case of overheating of the rear wheels and brought back points for the team when their teammates withdrew.
8. Sainz (7.2 points, match P7)
Not being able to leave the U.S. with better results than P7 is a little regret for Sainz. The soft tyres started somewhat to the pace of the race, but the operation of "letting go" Norris first and then using the DRS to overtake back at Turn 12 was wonderful. The slow second stop led him to make contact with Ricciardo's car after leaving the station and was overtaken by Bottas on the penultimate lap.
9. Norris (7.0 points, match P8)
Starting from P7, Norris went all out to fight with Sainz and his teammates to avoid a collision with Leclerc at turn 12. Unfortunately for the Briton, they ended up behind Sainz and Ricciardo and were overtaken by Bottas to only get the P8.
10. Giovinaz (6.8 points, match P11)
Giovinaz got a point so close in Austin that he "obediently" gave way to his teammates this time and was able to keep up close behind him. However, he lost the battle with Alonso's "passion" and was overtaken by Vettel in the final stage, but unfortunately had a chance to score points.
Outside the list
Three drivers from different circumstances are at odds with the top ten on the charts: Bottas, Gasley and Kimi.
Bottas was held back by Kakuda, and the race finally completed the overtaking of Sainz. Gasley started in P8 with a solid pace and had a chance to score points before encountering a car failure. Kimi almost scored a point, but made a mistake herself.
Overall list
There has been no change in the top spot, verstappen has established a clear advantage over Norris and Hamilton, while Leclerc has fallen from a tie for P3 to P4. Sainz, Gasley and Russell tied for P5, with Ocon, who retired due to a car failure, swapped places with Ricciardo.
