Every graduation season, the employment direction and salary of major college graduates have attracted much attention. On June 18, the China Salary Index Research Institute released the "2021 National College Graduate Salary Index Ranking List" (hereinafter referred to as the "Ranking"), showing that Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Peking University ranked in the top three, with the average salary of graduates 10992 yuan, 10602 yuan and 10690 yuan respectively.
The salary index of Chinese college graduates is derived from the basic data of college graduates in the country who have entered the employer for one year, and is calculated by statistical model according to four factors such as salary level, employment rate, talent growth rate and salary growth rate. Although the average salary of Peking University graduates is higher than that of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, after comprehensive statistics, the salary index ranking is one place behind last year, and it is surpassed by Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Looking at the rankings, the top ten universities are Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Peking University, University of International Business and Economics, Central University of Finance and Economics, Beihang University, Tongji University, Sun Yat-sen University, Fudan University, Beijing Foreign Chinese University, all of which are 211 universities, and there are seven 985 universities. Among them, the average salary of graduates of the University of International Business and Economics is the highest, reaching 11,032 yuan, and it is also the only university with an average monthly salary of more than 11,000 yuan for graduates.
Compared with last year, the Central University of Finance and Economics rose from eighth to fifth, and Beihang University, Tongji University, Sun Yat-sen University and Fudan University all entered the top ten this year. Among them, Sun Yat-sen University has risen the most, jumping from 17 last year to eighth place this year, and the average salary of graduates has also risen by 125 yuan.
From the perspective of average salary alone, there are 24 colleges and universities with a monthly salary of more than 10,000 yuan for graduates. Beijing Jiaotong University, the Central Academy of Fine Arts and Southeast University, although ranked behind 30 in the salary index, the average salary of graduates still exceeded 10,000. In addition, there are 31 colleges and universities with an average salary of 9,000-10,000 yuan, 24 colleges and universities with an average salary of 8,000-9,000 yuan, and 21 colleges and universities with an average salary of 7,000-8,000 yuan.
It should be noted that college graduates located in economically developed cities have more employment opportunities and higher salaries. For example, among the 24 colleges and universities with a monthly salary of more than 10,000 yuan for graduates, only Zhejiang University, Nanjing University and Southeast University are not in the first-tier cities of Guangzhou, Shanghai, Guangzhou, etc., but also in the new first-tier cities with developed economies such as Hangzhou and Nanjing.
Moreover, the same 985, 211 key universities, Wuhan University and Hunan University in the top 100 universities, ranking relatively backward, in 84 and 92 places, respectively; the average salary of graduates is also relatively low, only 7517 yuan and 8096 yuan. Jilin University and Northeastern University, the 985 universities located in the three eastern provinces, are not on the top 100 rankings, and are surpassed by many non-non-universities in first-tier cities.
Among the double Non-African institutions, the highest rankings are the School of International Relations and the Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, with a salary index of 85.2, and the average salary of graduates is 10,045 yuan and 10,066 yuan, respectively. The average salary of graduates of the China Foreign Affairs College, Guangdong Foreign Foreign Trade, Beijing Film Academy and Central Academy of Fine Arts is also more than 10,000 yuan.
The rankings pointed out that due to the impact of the epidemic, the salary index, salary level and ranking of some college graduates in 2021 have greater fluctuations compared with 2020.
In the top 100 list, the Central Academy of Fine Arts ranked the fastest, ranking 47th in 2020 and 32nd this year; Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics ranked 70th last year, up 15 places this year; Central South University rose from 58th last year to 45th. Some other universities that have risen significantly in the rankings, because the professional settings are in line with the current economic environment and industry needs, the relative increase in the salary level, employment rate, talent growth rate and salary growth rate of graduates is more obvious.
It is worth mentioning that this year's graduates of vocational colleges and universities are more in line with market demand and meet the actual needs of the employing units because their majors are more in line with the market demand, and the salary level shows an overall trend of improvement.
According to the national higher vocational college graduate salary index ranking, it can be found that the average salary of graduates is concentrated in 6000-7000 yuan. Among them, Beijing Electronic Technology Vocational College ranked first, with a salary index of 79.2, and the average salary of graduates was 7242 yuan. Shenzhen Vocational and Technical College and Shanghai Tourism College are close behind, with average salaries of 6926 yuan and 7140 yuan for graduates.
