When it comes to Lin'an, before talking about tea, I actually want to talk more about Lin'an beauty. There is Su Hang under the heavens, and there are beautiful women in Jiangnan. Lin'an's water is particularly nourishing, and Lin'an's beautiful women are probably inseparable from the credit of water. And the water raises the mountain, so it has given birth to the Tianmu Mountain, which has the reputation of "Tianmu Qianshixiu, Ten Miles Deep spirit mountain" and "big tree canopy smelling Kyushu". Tianmu Mountain was added to the UNESCO Man-Society and Biosphere Reserve Network in 1996 and is a world-class protected area with hundreds of species of animals and plants named after Tianmu, of which only five are left in the world. Compared with those myths that boast about Pu'er ancient tree god tea all day long, Tianmu Mountain is not without wild primitive tea species, but the protection in the reserve is too good, and there were tea seeds unearthed from 8,000 years ago at the Xianghu Cross-lake Bridge site in Xiaoshan District, so tea trees are multi-source.
Taihu Lake Source and Amaranth Creek
The source of Taihu Lake alone can be seen literally as the source area of Taihu Lake, and the Dongkeng Village we went to is a village located in the Taihu Source Town District. The water system of Lin'an is divided into the Qiantang River system and the Taihu Lake water system, of which the east and west sources of the Amaranth Creek are both from Tianmu Mountain, which is the main tributary of the Taihu Lake water system. Amaranth Creek blooms reeds along both sides of the river, and in the autumn, the reeds are scattered like flying snow, so the locals call the reeds flowers as amaranth, so it is called Amaranth Creek. Its practical use is another word to explain more simply, the broom is called a broom in the Hangjiahu area, and the reed can be used as a broom, so it got its name. In the tea leaves, The amaranth creek is more famous, Lu Yu lived in seclusion in the amaranth of the amaranth creek to avoid eating tea and writing the scriptures, and also entered the Tianmu Mountain many times along the amaranth creek to find the beloved tea.
Dongkeng Village
Before I arrived at Dongkeng Village, I imagined that a tea village should be like Meijiawu Longjing Village, in the middle of a leisurely valley, and then the fields and hillsides around the village are full of tea leaves, which seems to be what a traditional professional village of tea making should look like. However, after arriving, I realized that it was not exactly like this. "Dongkeng tea Xikeng water" is a common idiom used by Lin'an locals to describe the advantages of Dongkeng tea, the entire Dongkeng village is living along the Dongkeng Creek, from the mouth of the village to the end of the village distance reached thirty miles (15.9 km), more than 200 families scattered by the creek, the forest coverage rate of the whole village area is as high as 97%, in such a winding mountain road it is difficult to see the whole large-scale tea garden.
Organic tea plantation
In 1989, Tianmu Qingding was certified as an organic tea, the birthplace of organic tea in China. The first village of organic tea in China came from this. A thousand years ago, Lu Yu's Jiao ran, who had forgotten his friendship, wrote the poem "Drinking Tianmu Mountain Tea to Lu Xun, Because of sending Yuan Ju Shi Sheng":
Happy to see the ghost people will, the first opening of the wild guest tea.
