"North of Shengxian Bridge, green changlin, meandering streams, great inhuman worldly realm, is Zhaojue Zen Temple." Since the Tang and Song dynasties, the Shu people have gone out of the city from Chengdu to the outskirts of Beimen for banquets, and naturally there is a wonderful place for incense habits - Zhaojue Temple.

The Chronicle of the Re-cultivation of Zhaojue Temple, Volume II, "Zen Lantern Attached to the Practice" and Li Fuqiang's "History of Zhaojue Temple", records that the monks of Zhaojue Temple in the two Song Dynasties, such as Yanmei Zen Master, Teacher, Fu Zen Master, Pure White Zen Master, Yuanwu Keqin Zen Master, Chu'an Daoyuan Zen Master, Daozu Shouzao, JueJue Zen Master, Ziwen Zen Master, Zuming Zen Master, Zong Xianzheng Jue Zen Master, Shaoyuan Zen Master, etc., silently wrote about the glory of Zhaojue Temple as a major "ten-square jungle" in the southwest region in the Song Dynasty.

▌ "First there is Zhaojue Temple, then there is Chengdu City", under the efforts of two generations of Zhangxue and Buddha in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, Zhaojue Temple to Kangxi twenty-six years, basically restored the scale of Zhaojue Temple, thus laying the momentum for nearly three hundred years. In the Former Shu Kingdom during the Five Dynasties period, Zhaojue Temple got into trouble, and Zhang Yuan's "Three Times Mountain" mural was taken in by the then Former Shu Crown Prince Jian Wang, who wanted to plunder it for himself and move it to his Eastern Palace. The Northern Song Dynasty Huang Xiufu's "Yizhou Famous Paintings" records this incident. After Zhang Qian's three murals were in the Great Ci Hall, he painted a morning scene, a noon scene, and a night scene, so it was called "Three Times Mountain". At the end of the Tang Dynasty, Zhang Qian, a Nanhai man who entered Shu because of the "Yellow Nest Rebellion", was invited by Xiu Meng, the abbot of Zhaojue Temple, to paint, and when the painting was completed, it was just when Tang Shuzong came to Zhaojue Temple to "admire every day", during the Zhonghe period (881-885).

More than twenty years later, the Former Prince of Shu looked at the "Three Times Mountain". I don't know how the monks of Zhaojue Temple at that time responded to this matter, and there is no more historical record. Wang Zongyi (元膺), the second son of Wang Jian, was made crown prince in June of the first year of Wucheng (908), and was killed in July of the third year of Yongping (913) for a mutiny. The thrilling event that the "Three Times Mountain" of Zhaojue Temple experienced occurred in the five years from the first year of Wucheng to the third year of Yongping. Being coveted by the magnates can also be seen in the reputation of the murals of Zhaojue Temple. Huang Xiufu recorded that because these three murals were "full of mud and mud, and the damage was incomplete", King Jian only withdrew the order, so until then, the "Three Times Mountain" was still in Zhaojue Temple.

With the efforts of Xiu Meng, the ancestor of kaishan, Zhaojue Temple obtained a number of murals created by The Tang Dynasty's grandsons, Zhang Nanben, Zhang Yuan, and other Liushu artists. In the Northern Song Dynasty's "Records of the Rebuilding of Zhaojue Temple", Li Bi recorded the "miracles" of Zhaojue Temple that he saw at that time: the "Inscription of the Three Lists of Soldiers with The Driving Soldier" that accompanied Emperor Tang to Shu during the middle and peace period, the statue of the Six Ancestors donated by Chen Taishi, the "Monument to the Establishment of the Temple" written by Liu Chonggui written by Xiao Wei, the Xingdao Heavenly King, Mr. Fuqiu and Songzhu, Zhang Nanben's painting of shuiyue Guanyin, and the Zhaojue Temple gate sent from Chang'an by the name given by Emperor Xianzong at that time. However, what is more strange is that in the "Miracles" of Zhaojue Temple, there is also the work of a great painter, but Li Bi did not mention it, that is, Zhang Qing, who painted the "Three Times Mountain".

The "Yizhou Famous Painting Catalogue" also contains "paintings without names": "Two blocks of four heavenly kings inside the Great Compassion Hall of Zhaojue Temple, one block of Guanyin outside the hall, two blocks of east and west heavenly kings on both sides of the temple gate, and two paintings of the Middle harmony Year, I don't know the name and surname of the person who painted, and the evaluation of the Chinese character." ”

It should be added that in addition to the paintings of the Tang Dynasty, Zhaojue Temple also contains some works by famous artists of the Song Dynasty, such as Deng Chun's "Painting Succession", which records: "Li Shize ... The rebellion of the soldiers returned to Shu, that is, in the name of the painting. On the day of enlightenment, the main hall was completed, and the sixteen arhats were painted, and the statues of Manjushri, Puxian, and Yaoshi Bodhisattva were painted, see Cun", "Yang Qi, Pengzhou Chongning people." Bamboo feathers,...... Zhaojue Temple's Chaoran Terrace used to have walls such as "Weary Wings Knowing Return", which no longer exists." In the Shuchuan Tujuan (also known as the Shuchuan Sheng Overview Map) by Li Gonglin of the Northern Song Dynasty, which was praised by Qianlong as one of the "Four Beauties", the 64th Bashu landmark is the "Zhaojue Temple". Gao Shiqi of the Qing Dynasty said in the "Trek", "Cong Ancestral Hall Wild Pavilion and Xiao Temple, dotted with one by one poor and milli-mang, Wanli Bridge West Gongbu House, Huanhua Creek water chengcang waves." The "Xiao Temple" here refers to Zhaojue Temple.

However, unfortunately, in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, Zhaojue Temple and Chengdu became a ruin together. Those splendid murals can only exist in people's imagination, and the line-bound writing is the only way to reach them.

In 960, when the Song Dynasty was established, only 2,694 of the original 30,336 monasteries in China survived the Tang Wuzong's campaign to destroy Buddhism and the "Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms" war, including the Zhaojue Temple in a remote corner. However, after the tossing and turning of Shu and the peasant uprisings of Wang Xiaobo and Li Shun, the Zhaojue Temple in Western Shu was also in turmoil, even to the point of not being able to afford to eat. During the Chunhua (990-994) period, there were rich people with the surname Zhi who set up a fast at Zhaojue Temple for the monks to eat, and there was even a food poisoning incident, and Huang Xiufu's "Maoting Guest's Sayings" volume 5, "There are black and spotted people in the city, or those who are yellow, white and red are fasting, and all the monks eat and vomit, and there are also the dead." At that time, a doctor urgently told him: 'But dig the ground into a pit, and stir it into the pit with fresh water to clarify it, which is called pulp, and take a small cup for each time, but repeatedly, its poison will be solved.' At that time, even people were saved. ”

Until the first year of the Northern Song Dynasty (1008), the Song Dynasty unified China for 48 years, but at this time the surrounding area of Zhaojue Temple was still overgrown with weeds and desolate, "the old site of the temple, restored to the decadent wall, bowed to the grass, nearly a hundred years old." Even the peach garden, fearing its neighbors, recognizing the cattle and forgetting the sheep, is not divided into its masters. "In this year, perhaps at the turn of spring and summer, Zhao Heng, emperor Zhenzong of Song, issued an edict to Give Xiu a dream of the fifth generation of Zen master Fasun Yanmei (965-1062) to lead Zhaojue Temple...

▌ The relics of Zhaojue Temple recorded by Li Bi in the "Record of Rebuilding Zhaojue Temple" have long disappeared in the long river of time, but for more than a thousand years, Zhaojue Temple is still full of incense

Since the age of The Great Zhongxiang Fu Peng Shen, he has been the abbot for more than thirty years. But food is not tasteful, clothes are not heavy cocoons, words must be true, the old man is inseparable, words and deeds must be always, holding the old body is nothing, choosing to go deeper, not hindering me, not two sutras, although all kinds of paths, in fact, are Buddha-ridden.

In Li Bi's account, we see a doer who can make Zhaojue Temple prosperous. Under his personal 30 years of hard work, Zhaojue Temple has a new look: "So the temple of Jiyi Temple, old and hundred, now wide and vast three hundred..." More importantly, Yanmei Zen master built a version of the wall, which not only delineated the scope of the temple, changed the state of mixed monasticism, but also expanded the scale of the temple.

In 1062, the seventh year of Emperor Jiayou of Song, the bells of the Zhaojue Drum Tower rang, and the Zen master Yanmei died, "Ninety-eight years of life, fifty-six monks." When the relics are in the rain. At this time, the Zhaojue Temple he left behind, the scale is grand, it can be called the most famous and spectacular temple in Chengdu, not only built the Daxiong Hall, the Singing Hall, the Luohan Hall, the Six Ancestral Halls, the Yishan Hall, the Su Hall, the Great Compassion Hall, the Wheel Zang Pavilion and other halls, but also the monastery economy can not be underestimated, "the abundance of food, the Huahuan of the Dharma Seat, the Shi Yi Assembly, the Rice And a Thousand Monks, the Tired Yin Shi Seat, such as shengxueyi, there is not a single thing, it is a false request", at this point, the Zhaojue Temple was revived as a great temple with magnificent weather.

▌ Northern Song Dynasty (biography) Li Gonglin's "Shuchuan Picture Scroll" (collection of the Friar Museum of Art, USA) Part of Chengdu can be seen in the "Zhaojue Temple" and "Shengxian Bridge" in the territory of present-day Chenghua District

In the more than twenty years after the death of Yanmei, Zhaojue experienced two abbots of the Teacher's Zen Master and the Fu Zen Master, and in the last year of the Song Dynasty Emperor Yuanfeng (1078-1085), in view of the growing reputation of zhaojue temple, it also had a considerable scale, and the chengdu prefect Lü Dafang asked the imperial court to change the temple from a general descendant temple to a "ten-square jungle". Since then, Zhaojue Temple "has stood out from the general monasteries of Zen Buddhism, achieved institutional upgrading, opened a wide range of monks from all over the world, allowed all sects and sects to live together, and implemented equality for the monks who live in the temple, forming a 'great world' in Buddhist monasteries." The selection of abbots has also been changed from a hereditary system to a meritocratic system... The construction of home style has also been promoted."

Under this golden sign of "Ten Jungles", Yanmei was replaced by Pure Bai Shaojue (1037-1096) who had just returned to Sichuan with his master Zhenjue Weisheng. After Zhaojue Temple was approved to be changed to "Ten Square Jungle", perhaps the prefect Lü Dafang's original intention was to invite Wei Sheng Zhenjue, who had just returned from the Yellow Barberry Mountain, to be the first abbot. However, at that time, Wei Sheng was implicated because of the "Taixue Prison", and this time he was released to Sichuan by order, so he could only avoid Lü Dafang's request to go out of the mountain. However, he took the opportunity to recommend his disciples, "there is a purpose to return to Shu, the disciples are scattered, and the sole teacher bears the towel bowl to obey", pure White Shaojue.

As if from the hands of Yanmei, Pure Bai took over the baton of the "Ten Square Jungle", and sure enough, he lived up to the expectations of the public, and after leading the Zhaojue Temple, he carried out reforms in accordance with the southern Zen system, "opening the law, abiding by the southern norms, and washing away the evils of the law.". This is a major event in the history of Sichuan Zen Buddhism, marking the entry of the organization system of Southern Zen Buddhism into Sichuan temples, changing the nature of previous temples, highlighting the independent character and style of Zen Buddhism, and allowing Sichuan monks and laypeople to see different Zen styles and means than before.

The Ming monk Juding's "Records of The Continuation of the Lanterns" records that "The Pure White Zen Master of Zhaojue in Chengdu Province": "The master showed the disease, and praised the little master Zong Xianyue: 'The wind is high and the moon is cold, and the water is far away and the sky is long.'" There is no shadow when you go out, in all directions. 'Pleasant but silent. "A white drawing outlines a portrait of a deceased and a great deity.

When the three Buddhas were in the Five Patriarchs, they tasted the night talk in a pavilion, returned to the abbot, and the lamp was extinguished. The Five Patriarchs are secretly known: each of them speaks in a different language. Buddha's Book: Rainbow Dance Danxiao. Buddha's Eye: Iron Snake Henggu Road. Fo Guoyun: Look at the feet. Wuzuyun: The Destroyer of the Wu Sect, Naikqin'er.

This story about Master Yuan Wu Keqin, told by his apprentice Dahui Zonggao (1089-1163), is found in the Zongmen Arsenal and the Five Authentic Sects. One night, three disciples, Keqin, Huiqin, and Qingyuan, who were later known as the "Three Buddhas," accompanied master Wuzu Fa to speak on the mountain pavilion. Later, when it was time to go back, the lamp oil burned out. The Master, who had not forgotten to examine them at any time, said in the darkness, "The three of you have each spoken a word about this situation, and let me see how you understand it." Hui Qin said, "Now it's like a multicolored phoenix, soaring in the blue sky." Qingyuan said, "At this time, it is like a giant python like an iron stone, straddling the ancient road." Ke Qin said, "Just look at your feet." In the darkness, a young man named Keqin had shining eyes. One is in the clouds, one is stuck in the ancient road, and one is back at its feet in the present. In his step by step, the fireflies on the ground and the stars in the sky were all faded away, and whoever was carrying a lantern for him was himself. Master Wuzu Listened to this and said excitedly, "The person who can enlarge our Zen Dharma is Keqin." ”

During the Chongning period, because of his mother's calling, Keqin, who had just passed the year of confusion, returned to Chengdu, Sichuan for the first time, "Chongning Zhongli Province, the four people worship." Chengdu Shuai Hanlin Guo GongzhiZhang please open the Fa Liu zu, more enlightened. Emperor Huizong of Song also specially ordered him to open the church. It is worth mentioning that Ke Qin was also an apprentice of Victory Zhen jue, and Pure White can be described as a brother in the master.

Since the Pure White Era, Zhaojue Temple has entered the national temple "Ten Square Jungle", but before keqin's first abbot Zhaojue Temple, that is, after the death of Pure White, Zhaojue was renamed Liuzu Temple by his successors for a short time. The first thing Katsukito Zhaojue seemed to do was to change his name back. Zhaojue Temple, as a jungle of ten directions, was personally abbot Keqin opened the church and was abbot twice, and because of its "five hundred disciples, more than 100 leaders of the various directions, according to the great jungle, leading the people, it can be said that it is a grand list", which determines its prominent position in the Zen Linji Sect.

Keqin's first abbot, Zhaojue Temple, "thanked him between the government and the peace, and returned to the south of the gorge", and the Ming monk Minghe wrote the "Biography of the Supplementary High Monk", saying that it was "more Zhaojuefan for eight years." About eight years later, Keqin once again traveled south of Sichuan and stayed at the Lingquan Temple in Jiashan, Lizhou, Hunan. Here, he completed the famous "First Book of Zongmen" "Biyan Record" in the history of Zen Buddhism, which rivaled Huineng's Tantra.

The Biyan Records are commentaries and songs by Keqin based on the "Song Gu BaiZhi" (980-1052) of Xue dou Zhongxian (980-1052) of another high monk from Sichuan, the Ninth Emperor of the Zen Dynasty Qingyuan, and has been collected and published before his death. The Biyan Lu is a lecture on the "Song Gu Bai Ze" taught by the disciples during the ten years from the time of Chongning (1102-1106) when Keqin abbot of Chengdu Zhaojue Temple was in Charge of Chengdu Zhaojue Temple to the abbot of Zhenghe (1111-1117) and the abbot of Jiashan Lingquan Temple and Xiangxi Daolin Temple. As for the title of the book "Biyan Lu", because the Jiashan Lingquan Temple where he lived was created by the Zen master Shanhui (805-881) of the Tang Dynasty, the Jingde Chuan Lantern Record, volume 15, "Lizhou Jiashan Shanhui Zen Master" has a saying: "Question: How is the Jiashan Realm? Teacher: The ape hugs the child back to the green ridge, and the bird's neck flowers fall in front of the blue rock. Jiashan is therefore nicknamed "Biyan", and the title of the book should also be derived from this.

It has always been said that Gengo Katsuki has left a "tea Zen one-flavor" ink treasure in Daitoku-ji Temple in Japan, and it is related to the Ichigo monk. However, according to Chen Xiangbai's research, in fact, this statement is completely empty, in order to spread false rumors. "I went to Daitoku-ji Temple. ...... I arrived there very quickly by train, and asked the local abbot through the interpreter if there was a senior monk who had written 'Tea Zen Yiwei', could I watch it? He was confused and said that I was an abbot here, and I had never heard of this, nor had I seen the calligraphy of 'Tea Zen Yiwei'. ”

Yuanwu Keqin did say some sentences about tea, such as the public case "Zhao Zhou 'eats tea and goes'" mentioned in the third volume of the "Biyan Record", the eighth volume mentions "but at ease, eat tea when you meet tea, and eat when you meet rice", and the "Quotations of The Zen Master of Yuanwu Buddha" has "get rid of the dust of love, let go of the body and mind, empty labor and eat tea when encountering tea and eating when eating", "eating when eating, not knowing that it is rice; eating tea when encountering tea, not knowing that it is tea", "eating when eating at dinner, eating tea when encountering tea, eating tea all day long, covering him with no many waves and schools in his chest." Therefore, if the mind is nothing, all laws are the same, there is no gain or loss, and only this field is practiced all day long. Whoever comes to ask, only cut off the matter. Therefore, the Word, see must be true, and enlightenment must be realized."

Although the calligraphy work of "Tea Zen Yiwei" is a fiction, it is an indisputable fact that there are two authentic letters written by Keqin to his disciple Shaolong in Japan. In the letter, the master treats the disciple as if he were a loving father, and he is affectionate. At Zhaojue Temple, Yuanwu also has a student, and the relationship between the two is also very special. This student was the first of zhaojue daozu: "The first enlightenment was invented under the phrase 'that is, the mind is a Buddha'." For a long time, enlightenment is divided. One day for the crowd to enter the house, the remaining twenty people. The master suddenly asked, "When life and death come, how can we avoid it?" 'There is nothing wrong with the monk. The master threw down the whisk and died. Everyone was stunned and eager to hear it. Enlightenment, summons: 'Ancestral throne.' Shi Zhang looked at it. Enlightenment: 'Shake your spirits and go through. The master nodded, and he fell silent. After his beloved disciple Daozu Shouzuo died, when he heard his master call him, he still opened his eyes and looked at the teacher. Master said to him, you should shake your spirit to find the place you want to go, he nodded obediently, "Even Er is silent", leaving only a drop of moisture in the teacher's eyes.

A generation of senior monks Yuan Wu Keqin died in 1135, "Shaoxing five years in August self-unitary, showing a slight sickness." Sitting on the book and leaving the people, he threw his pen and passed away. The tongue and teeth are not bad, and the five colors of Shili are innumerable. The pagoda is on the side of Zhaojue Temple, a Zen master. Before entering the silence, his book said: "It has been completely useless, there is no need to leave praises, talk about the fate, cherish and cherish!" Before he died, he went to church and said, "The Mountain House in May is as cold as ice." Not many people can understand his words, or not many people understand his "Biyan Record", but in the bowl of a cup, chengdu people understand it rain or shine, and take a sip of tea.

On the seventh day of the first lunar month of the third year of Chunxi, this day is the human day of 1176, the 52-year-old Lu You was then the senator of the Chengdu Fulu Pacification Department and the counselor of the Sichuan System Envoy Department, on this day he had to take a leisure time out of the north gate and go to the Zhaojue Temple in the northern suburbs to eat a meal, with the poem "Ren Ri Di Zhaojue" as a record: "Tianya's journey is on the day of people, and he is sick and shakes the treasure house." The snow and water first melted into the Jinjiang River, and the plum blossoms fell halfway to the green moss. Ieyama Matsukatsu is old, and the shogunate is busy with paperwork. Laughing at myself for the rest of my life, I borrowed it and hid it deeply. ”

In February, Lu You took xiao'er into Zhaojue Temple again, and also ate a meal of fasting, because he encountered a faint spring rain, and stayed for a day in the morning bell and twilight drum of Zhaojue Temple: "Every time you fall into yellow dust, you take your child Xiao Scatter to the front edge." Talk about the square outer towel bowl clean, a wash of the human dagger. The spring breeze of the ashram is passed on to the bath drum, and the gallery is wet with tea smoke in the evening rain. Under the bright window of the hidden light Liao, borrow me to shake for ten years. ("Izakujue-ji Temple Arrives at Twilight")"

Lu You likes to go to Zhaojue Temple to eat, eating the temple's fasting meal, and the reason why he often runs to Zhaojue Temple is that for him, Zhaojue is the Zhengfa Temple in his mind. From the spring of the second year of Chunxi (1175) to the spring of the fifth year of Chunxi (1178), Lu You stayed in Chengdu for three years. The eastern suburbs are green, the city is admiring plums, the Huanhua evening walk, the Daci Temple, the Baofu Temple, the Zhaojue Temple, everywhere has left his footprints.

However, as if a serious illness in the spring was a harbinger, what Lu You did not expect was that perhaps because of the impeachment of fan Chengda after writing a preface to Fan Chengda's poetry collection on the March of March of this year, he was dismissed from office in the summer because of the informal law "Yan Drinking Decadence", and later "idle body" in Chengdu for more than a year.

▌ On August 11, 2018, Zhaojue Temple held a grand Obon Super Festival

The "History of Song" is said to be, at this time, Lu You, who had no way to report to the country, "people ridiculed his decadence, because he called himself a man." "In the autumn of this year, on November 3rd, when I went out of the north gate in the morning and crossed the Shengxian Bridge, I bought cakes and ate a breakfast in a hurry on the small field by the bridge. This time across the Shengxian Bridge, he wrote three poems in one go, one of which is a bit like a diary: "Early Shengxian does not have time to cook, and buys cakes by the bridge to cure hunger." They are full of people who can know, as if Xinfeng was drinking alone. In Shengxian Field, the small shop was full of people eating breakfast, but perhaps because he was wearing civilian clothes, he was like a "new Fengke" who drank alone, and people did not recognize him. "Xinfeng Drinking Alone" canonized the "Old Book of Tang and Ma Zhou's Biography": In the early Tang Dynasty, before the minister Ma Zhouweishi, he stayed at the Xinfeng Hotel, and the owner of the shop looked down on him, so he ordered a bucket of eight liters of wine to "drink leisurely and alone", and everyone was amazed. And who knows, he is the loneliness of "Xinfeng Drinking Alone"!

This time out, Lu You or go to Zhaojue Temple? When the summer had just passed, he only went once, "Visiting the Elder Zhaojue": "After a long time of old age, I was happy to hear the sound of the church." You Shan laughed at me and went straight, and Xia Pijun was too thin. The court is silent in the day, and the magpie on the wall is whispering autumn sunshine. The meritorious name has been put into the virtuous, and the long idle people are happy and peaceful. ”

In fact, Lu You and Zhaojue Temple, on his way to Shu, because of a high monk, already had a destined origin. This senior monk was Elder Baoyin, Lu You's good friend.

Baoyin Zen master, commonly known as Li, the character Heng Ning, Song Huizong Zhao Daguan three years (1109) was born in Jiazhou Emei. "The Six Classics of Youth, the Seven Histories of Poverty." In his youth, he received the degree from the love monk of the Yizhong Deshan Temple, and his legal name was "Baoyin". After ascending to Emei, he studied Zen Buddhism at Zhongfeng Temple, where he was a Tantric Zen master of the 16th Tantric Seal of Nanyue Sect under the Linji Sect. In the second year of Shaoxing (1131), after being introduced by the Tantric Zen Master, the 22-year-old Baoyin went to Chengdu Zhaojue Temple to pay homage to the Zen master Yuan wu Keqin. One day, Baoyin entered the church with the crowd, and Yuanwu Keqin asked him, "From the saints above, how can you receive people?" Baoyin replied with a fist. Yuanwu Keqin said, "This is the old monk's user, who is the user of the saints from above?" Baoyin waved his fist, and the master also raised his fist to intersect, and the two of them laughed and stopped. Afterwards, Yuanwu Keqin sighed, "It is the son who will be like me every day." "Nairobu lived in Shōkyō-ji Temple for three years. Therefore, it can be said that the treasure is printed in Zhaojue Temple, and it can also be said that it inherits the mantle of Yuanwu Keqin.

Qiandao 6th year (1170), June 19. When Lu You passed through Zhenjiang, he wrote in the "Record of Entering Shu": "The Elder of Jinshan Baoyinlai, the character Uncle Tan, a native of Jiazhou. To the west of Xia Prefecture, the beach is invincible, and Bai Fushi's so-called 'white dog to yellow bull, the beach is as thick as a bamboo knot' is also. For Elder Baoyin's concern, Lu You was very grateful.

On the seventh day of the first month of December in the first year of ShaoXi (1190), when the chickens were chirping at night, the abbot of Yuhang Jingshan Temple in Zhejiang Province passed away. In March of the third year of Shaoxi's reign, Emperor Fasun went to Shanyin Mirror Lake to find Lu You and asked him to write a book for The Ancestor of Baoyin. The 68-year-old Lu You sighed that "he has been friends with the master for the longest time" and said that "although he is old and sick today, his righteousness is irrevocable", so he wrote down the "Beifeng Zen Master Pagoda Inscription", and at the end of the text, he sang with deep affection: "The enlightenment is passed on again, it is for Beifeng..." Lu You vaguely remembered that during baoyin's stay in Dou Temple, the abbot of Siming Mountain in Zhejiang Province, he had retired to his hometown of Shanyin, and he had visited, "Taste the rendezvous and return shu, and tie the mao green clothes to call the fish pond."

"Remembering in Nishikawa Jibaofang, the scarf is scattered at the beginning of the day. Ipu Sai is divided into incense, and Yubara flowers are scattered in the dojo. Kelu is more emotional in the spring, and the old tour looks back slightly cool. Xinqing qiang to find a trick, there is a bottom document to do Xu busy? Many years later, with the news of Chengdu's friends coming again and again, Lu You remembered again and again in his hometown those springs when he stayed at Zhaojue Temple, Baofu Temple, and Zhengfa Temple in Chengdu, "The Old Visit to Zhaojue Baofu Zhengfa Zhufa Zhuke on the Day of Nothing in The Early Spring of Chengdu also traced the long sentences", the title of the poem revealed the reason why Lu You visited the Zhaojue Temple of the North Gate again and again, because in his eyes, Zhaojue Temple, Baofu Temple, and Zhengfa Temple all represented the "Zhengfa" temples at that time. The Dhamma, the Language of the Buddha, is the teachings that Shakyamuni spoke of, and is different from the outer path. Book 24 of the Za'a Han Sutra: "Rise out of the world and speak the Dhamma." Tang Xuanzang's "Records of the Western Regions of the Tang Dynasty and the Kingdom of Qilu Qinna" also said: "Renounce evil views, accept the Fa-rectification, reform yourself, and be willing to follow the teachings." ”

▌ The people in front of the tea garden of Zhaojue Temple inadvertently become a metaphor for sentient beings

What was the real situation of Zhaojue Temple that you saw on land travels in the past?

More than a hundred years before Lu You, Li Bi said in the "Record of rebuilding the Zhaojue Temple": "The temple has three hundred temples of permanent fertile land, the purification field is corrected, the income is thousands of couples, and the well is returned to the temple, and it is shared with everyone." There are boats and navigation masters, and the money that flows in the water; the Yamazawa Hao clan, the profits of the Golden Cave. Five baht and one wisp, all returned to the temple, no private person. ...... Where there is abundant food, there is a magnificence of the Dharma. When a general assembly is held, a thousand people are eating, and they are tired and sit down, such as ascending to the void. ”

Zhang Yu, a pixian man who was almost at the same time as the abbot Yanmei Zen master, recorded in an article "Zhaojue Temple Banquet Sent To The Holy Congchayuan and the Order of the Dynasty": "The saint is the overseer of the imperial history, and in September, the mother of the mother was in Shu Zhao, and he was immediately appointed as an advisor. On the fifteenth day of the fifteenth month of The Summer Dynasty, I went to Shu to return to the Dynasty. There are a group of Tianshui Zhao Xiren, Qinghe Zhang Zili, and a large number of guests come out to Zhaojue Temple. Drink day and night. ”

For the Zhaojue Temple in the northern suburbs of Chengdu, the splendor and splendor of the Song Dynasty have long been sunk into the breeze, the sound of wooden fish, we remember the past, the distant era of the team of Zhaojue Temple monks in the upper hall, if far away, it seems to be real and illusory.
