Talking about the history of Wei, Shu and Wu at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, many people's impressions come from Luo Guanzhong's Zhang Hui novel "Romance of the Three Kingdoms". "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" has become a popular classic because of its distinct character and ups and downs. However, novels are only novels after all, and they should not be true. The history of the heroes and deer that really happened is actually more thrilling and tortuous than the novel, and the heroes represented by Cao Cao, Liu Bei, and Sun Quan are more wise than those shown in the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms". Compared with the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, the content of the historical records is relatively boring and obscure. But there is no denying that they also have a deeper connotation than the novel.
As the saying goes: Sickness comes from the mouth, and evil comes out of the mouth. In historical materials, words can most intuitively reflect a person's personality characteristics, and words can sometimes directly determine the fate of a character and even the course of history. There are many such examples in the history from the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty to the beginning of the Western Jin Dynasty. In the context of this similar era, simply choose a few and taste the way of dealing with the world.

The first example comes from the local chronicle work huayang guozhi of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. It is said that after Zhuge Liang's death, the later lord Liu Chan was in the dynasty for three days, Ru Su Dai Xiao, and the whole shu kingdom was mourning. At this time, there was a minister named Li Miao, who thought that the later lord Liu Chan was restrained by Zhuge Liang everywhere, and he must have a grudge in his heart, and once he had the opportunity, he would inevitably liquidate it to establish his own prestige. Therefore, he took the lead in playing a song for Liu Chan and said: "Lü Lu, Huo Guang, and Yu, who are highly meritorious and powerful ministers, do not necessarily have rebellious intentions, and Emperor Xiaoxuan Liu Xun does not want to be the monarch who slaughters the heroes." However, the subjects are afraid of the persecution of the king, and the king is afraid of the high merits of the lord, so it is inevitable that they will be jealous of each other and have two hearts. And Zhuge Liang was surrounded by elite soldiers and strong generals, and the subjects often worried that now that Zhuge Liang was dead, the clan could be saved, and there was no war, it was really a good thing to celebrate. "Unexpectedly, Liu Chan was furious when he heard this, and immediately sent him to prison and finally executed him."
The second example comes from Chen Shou's "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", saying that Sun Quan had a subordinate named Yu Fan, who although he was very talented, had a straight personality, was arrogant and arrogant, and had repeatedly confronted Sun Quan, and Sun Quan was not good at saying anything. Once, Sun Quan was chatting with another courtier, Zhang Zhao, and Yu Tuan was also accompanying him, and when Zhang Zhao and Sun Quan were talking about the topic of immortals, Yu Tuan suddenly interrupted, pointed at Zhang Zhao, and said: "These are obviously dead people, and you also say that they are gods." Where are the gods in this world? I have to say that materialist thinking is very advanced and advanced, but Sun Quan listened to the fire that had been so hard to suppress before and came up, and exiled him to a remote mountainous area on the spot.
The Romance of the Three Kingdoms is the most detailed and complete historical record of the Three Kingdoms. The next example is from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and this person is Yu Fan's colleague named Gu Yong. Compared with the previous two examples of evil coming out of the mouth, Gu Yong is even a positive example.
Gu Yong is cautious in his words and deeds, and is very low-key. So much so that he became a Shang Shu Ling and was enfeoffed, his family did not know anything about it, and they were all surprised after hearing about it.
Once, Sun Quan pointed out that he was married to marry his niece to the Gu family, and at the wedding banquet, Gu Yong's grandson Gu Tan drank too much and couldn't help but dance at the banquet. After the feast was over, Gu Yong called him to the front and scolded him fiercely, angrily rebuking: "What great merit have you made to the country?" But it was the Door of the Gu Family that dared to be so overwhelmed. Sooner or later, the Gu family will be destroyed at your hands! "Say slammed the door and left, leaving him to think about the wall."
Perhaps it was gu Yong's careful way of dealing with the world that made Gu Yong gain the weight of Sun Quan, who had been xiang for nineteen years and was regarded by Sun Quan as a minister of the heart and the society.
As the saying goes: "Everything is learned, and the cultivation of human feelings is an article." "After reading the above examples, people can't help but sigh, speaking is really a science, in its position, we must stick to the bottom line, can not be opportunistic, can not say what should not be said. Also pay attention to the fact that even if you think you should say something, it should be divided into occasions and euphemistically acceptable to the other party. Proper silence must be maintained when necessary.
