Diary of a Trip to Shanxi (I) - Jinci Temple

Diary of a Trip to Shanxi (I) - Jinci Temple

Monday, September 14, 2020 It was overcast and rainy

Last night in the waiting room of the Beijing railway station, I waited until about 2:50 a.m. today, and I just used this time to make up for yesterday's diary.

I went to bed at 11 o'clock the night before, woke up at two o'clock, and then I didn't fall asleep again, so I was sleepy last night, and as soon as I got in the car, I fell asleep. At 6 o'clock this morning, I woke up in Zhangjiakou for a few seconds. At 9 o'clock in the morning, Datong woke up again. There were very few people in the train carriages, it was quiet and tidy. Outside the car window, the sky is high and cloudy. In the fields nearby, there are sometimes some crops such as corn and sorghum. Sometimes, it's all wasteland. On the mountains in the distance, bare, without a trace of trees.

After Datong, the sky gradually dimmed, all the way to Taiyuan. I thought to myself, is it the cause of the weather, or is it caused by pollution?

At 1:30 p.m., I arrived in Taiyuan. After getting off the train, I found that taiyuan did not have a subway.

Out of the train station, I walked to the bus platform in front of me, waited for more than ten or twenty minutes, and took the 856 bus to Jinci Temple.

At 3 p.m., I arrived at the Jinci Temple. As you can see from the Internet, the entrance ticket to the Jinci Temple costs 70 or 80 yuan. But this year, all scenic spots in Shanxi are open to the people of the whole country free of tickets, and only need to make reservations in advance, so the Jinci Temple is also free of tickets. The visit of jinci temple and east lake vinegar garden, I have made an appointment in Beijing two days ago. Unfortunately, the ancient city of Pingyao that I most want to go to, due to the large number of tourists, I want to go to the 20th.

When you come to the Jinci Scenic Area, the first thing you see is the archway of the "Jinci Shengjing". In front of the archway, there is a row of White Jade Bridges, and the style of the bridge is the same as that in front of the Noon Gate of the Forbidden City. On both sides of the archway, there are promenades and pavilions that stretch out. On the back beam of the archway there is a seal plaque of "Tang Jin Siyuan". Behind the archway, there is the gate of the Jinci Temple.

The gate of the Jinci Temple is a rectangular building. Vermilion doors, columns, yellow glazed tile roofs. There are large trees on the roof, which looks ancient. On the back of the gate there is a plaque with the words "Zong Tang Fa Xuan".

After passing through the gate, walking one or two hundred meters came to the front of the Tang Garden. The gatehouse of Tang Garden is a pavilion with narrow front and wide front and wide back, with flying eaves and angles. On both sides behind the pavilion, there are circular corridors that protrude. On the back of the gatehouse is a plaque of "Tang Feng Jin Yun".

Behind the gatehouse, next to a tall wall, behind the wall is the Flying Dragon Pavilion. Underneath the Wyvern Pavilion, it is made of limestone stacked and leaves caves. The Feilong Pavilion has three floors, the first floor is the Feilong Pavilion, the second floor is the Lingyun Pavilion, and the third floor is called Guanfen. The right side of the Flying Dragon Pavilion is also stacked with stone landscaping, with a lotus pond.

Behind the Flying Dragon Pavilion, there is another courtyard, which is structured in the same way as the Tang Garden. It's just that the book in front of the gatehouse is "Tang Zong's Legacy", and the book behind it is "Longxing Jinyang".

Inside the courtyard, there is a statue of Tang Taizong Li Shimin and his military generals. The two men in the middle of the statue immediately raised their might, the two on the right stood with their backs to their hands, and the one on the left held a soldier on horseback. The statues are all righteous, arrogant, and very beautiful.

Continuing from behind the statue, there is the Peony Pavilion. When it was 4 p.m., I didn't dare to linger on the beauty of the garden. Instead, he stepped up his pace and walked towards the Jinci Museum.

In front of it is a large square pool, and in the middle of the pool stands a dresser-like shelf with inlaid socialist core values. In the middle behind the pool, there is a water platform of one step and one step, and the tiled fine water flows down from the water platform one by one, and the two sides of the water platform are pedestrian steps.

I hurried up to the top of the steps and saw a row of White Jade Bridges in front of me. Behind the bridge there is a relatively square, relatively small building, and tourists are queuing up to enter. I think this should be the door to the museum.

Walking into the gate, it was a courtyard. In the courtyard, there are pine, bamboo, willow, banyan trees and other tree species. Two or three of these banyan trees are particularly old, lush and tall.

At the back of the courtyard, there is a very old building. Below the building, there is a large palace-like pedestal with a round window on each side of the upper gate. The roof is of the heavy eaves, and between the heavy eaves hangs a large plaque of "Three Famous Springs of the Three Jins". In front of the left side of the building, there is a tall and lush ancient tree. To the right, there is a stout tree stump two meters high. The whole building looks old and heavy.

At the back of the building, there is a stage. On the top of the stage hangs a large plaque engraved with the words "Water Mirror Stage". According to the introduction of the scenic spots, the "water mirror" came out of the Han book "Han An Guo Biography": "Qing Shui Ming Mirror, can not escape in shape" sentence. It means that loyalty is right and wrong, and everyone knows it. Originally, the Water Mirror Stage was a theater stage in the Ming and Qing dynasties.

After passing the water mirror platform, you will arrive at the Huixian Bridge, which spans the Zhibo Canal in the upper reaches of the Jin River. It is a small stone bridge about 6 meters long and about 3 meters wide. It is convex in the middle like a bow, and there are several stone steps in the east and west.

Legend has it that Yan Song, the first assistant of the Ming Dynasty, built a luxurious hall, with the skeleton of the sea fish as the beam, and the hall was set up for a banquet, and all the courtiers congratulated, and only the sons and daughters of the family Hanlin Luohong first said: "Good is good, but the beam is too small." Yan Song was angry and wanted to harm him. His daughter was anxious and wise, and secretly sent a bowl of red jujube fennel tea to her father-in-law. Luo Hongxian understood his meaning deeply and did not quit. Yan Song continued to play shangben, and Luo Hong first dismissed the official.

After the dismissal, Luo Hongxian traveled around and came to the JinCi Temple, and when he saw a young woman from a peasant family who was beautiful and moving, he casually praised: "People in the world often praise xi shimei, and Yu regards this woman as victorious over xi shi"! The peasant woman replied: "It is advisable for officials to lose their positions, how to learn immortals with foul language?"? Say goodbye and drift away. Luo Hong crossed the bridge to catch up first, only to see the wooden bridge catch fire. Only then did Luo Hongxian understand that the peasant woman was not an ordinary person, and from then on, he devoted himself to buddhism and became a very accomplished scholar. Later, people built a stone bridge on the burned wooden bridge and named it Huixian Bridge.

Behind the Huixian Bridge is the Golden RenTai, also known as the Lotus Terrace. The Jinrentai is a square with an iron man cast on each of its four sides, while the iron man in the south was cast by the Northern Song Dynasty Shaosheng 4 years ago, and its image and quality are the best. According to historical records, the Jinci Temple is the source of the Jinshui, so the town is known as a golden god to prevent water.

In The golden people of Taixi, there is a "Yue" archway. According to the Jinci Temple, the word "to Yue" comes from the "Book of Poetry, Zhou Song, Qing Temple": "Bingwen Virtue, Yue in the heavens". "Right" is to repay, "yue" is to preach, which means to repay and publicize the noble merits of ancestors. Friends who like calligraphy must be familiar with the plaque of "Yue Yue", because we often see it in some books or on the Internet, and its real body is hidden in the Jinci Temple.

The dedication hall of the Jinci Temple, located on the west side of the Yue Arch, was built in the 8th year of Jin Dading and is a place where sacrifices are displayed. The dedication hall is walled with a fence and is shaped like a pavilion.

After passing through the temple of devotion, you will go up to the Temple of our Lady. The Hall of Our Lady is the main hall of the Jin Temple, it is the place where the daughter of Jiang Ziya, the wife of King Wu of Zhou, and the mother of King Cheng of Zhou, Yi Jiang, were built during the Northern Song Dynasty and are an outstanding representative of the architecture of the Song Dynasty in China.

The Temple of Our Lady sits facing west and east, with heavy eaves resting on the top of the hill. The eight lower cornices below the main hall are entwined with wooden carved dragons. There are 43 painted statues of the Song Dynasty in the hall, the main statue is the Virgin, and the rest are handmaidens.

There are many plaques hanging from the beams of the Temple of Our Lady, with the words "Tong Feng Zhi Ze", which tells the story of King Zhou Cheng's "Tong Ye Feng Di". There are "anointed jasper", "Wanhui Hanzi", as well as "Lingshuang style", "Yongxi is difficult to grow old", etc., all of which carry the condensed and profound wisdom of the ancestors with exquisite calligraphy art.

Coming out of the Temple of our Lady, there is a cooper on the right side, and the cooper is a continuous branch, which is Zhou Bai. Zhou Bai is born obliquely at an oblique angle of thirty or forty degrees, so it is also called "Wolong Cypress". Song Ouyang Xiu once had a verse that "the earth spirit grass and trees are moist, and the lush ancient cypress contains smoke".

From the stone steps on the edge of Zhou Bai to the back of the Notre Dame Hall, there is Chaoyang Cave, which is the tallest building in jinci. Fu Shan, a great calligrapher and physician of the Qing Dynasty, once lived here.

From the Chaoyang Cave down to the left side of the Notre Dame Temple, there is the Moon Garden, where the flowers are in full bloom and the fragrance is fragrant.

At this time, it was raining lightly, but fortunately I had an umbrella in my preparation. The time is already 5 o'clock in the afternoon, the last return bus of the scenic spot departs at 6 o'clock, it seems that I have to hurry out of the park to catch the car.

In the process of leaving the park, I found and visited the "Dong Shouping Art Museum" and the "Shifang Fengsheng Zen Temple". Dong Shouping's Pine, Bamboo, Plum and Huangshan and other themes of Chinese painting are very good, I have long understood on the Internet, today's field viewing nature is better than the effect of online pictures. Just no time, too late to take a closer look.

The Shifang Fengsheng Zen Temple was originally the villa of the famous Tang Dynasty general Wei Chigong, because he felt that the killing was too heavy, so he built a brake. Later, Tang Gaozu gave the name "Ten Fang Fengsheng Zen Temple". Inside the temple, there is a futu temple, and there are seven-level octagonal stupas in the courtyard.

Leaving the Shifang Fengsheng Zen Temple, I hurried out of the park and caught the No. 804 bus to Liu Lane in Taiyuan.

The Internet says that when you go to the Jinci Temple, you must look at the three gems, see the three treasures, and appreciate the three plaques. I saw the Zhou Bai and Song Dynasty painted sculptures in the three masterpieces, but I didn't see the NanlaoQuan. I saw the Dedication Hall and the Temple of our Lady of the Three Jewels, but the Uonuma Flying Beam did not attract my attention. Among the three plaques, the Water Mirror Stage Plaque, the Yue Plaque, and the Yongxi Nan Old Plaque, I have seen it all.

I sat in the car for more than an hour and arrived at Taiyuan Liu Lane. The Internet says that Liu Lane is the most prosperous place in Taiyuan, but I don't see many people.

I ate at a Shaanxi noodle restaurant on the side of causeway bay international shopping mall and booked a room at a nearby hotel. Room rate 106 yuan, the room is very large, the environment and decoration are fine.

I put down my backpack and went out for a walk to see the street market in Taiyuan. At night in Taiyuan, every building is flashing with colorful neon lights, and some buildings have large LED dynamic pictures, and Taiyuan's night market is really dazzling and dazzling under their makeup.

When I transferred to the Shanxi Hotel, the degree of local tycoon of the Shanxi Hotel really made me sigh! It is an antique building with carved beams and paintings, and it is very popular. At night, under the dimming of the lights, it is so golden and brilliant. I thought, what kind of people come here to eat and spend? The banquet made here is not a royal banquet!

Then, I went to the side of Wuyi Square. See the red Jinrong HomeStead Hotel, the red and blue CCB Building, the majestic and mighty People's Public Security Building, the fresh and bright Sanjin International Hotel, and the two big national flags waving in the wind on the wall... Coupled with the Shanxi Hotel, Taiyuan gave me a direct feeling, it is really luxurious! Enough of a local tycoon!
