Ramello Ball is just around the corner of his second season with the Charlotte Hornets, but there may be more to come.
The Hornets guard had a conversation with athlete's Jovaton this week and hinted at his long future on the team.
Bauer said: "I think I still have the mentality they had back then. "Even when the team and other things were changed, they never did it. You go to a team and you stay there.
"[You] should just go to a team and build from there," Rookie of the Year continued. "I think it should be so. Especially when [you] also love high positions, it's likely to go to a not-so-good team, so you're trying to make them better. I think that's the whole process. ”
Of course, for the 21-year-old Bauer, it's easy to get caught up at this stage of his basketball career. But the NBA's situation changes quickly. Teammates leave, coaches and/or executives come and go, and goofy teams go from playoff contenders to bottom teams faster than you would say "alphabet brother."
It sounds like, under the leadership of boss Michael Jordan, Bauer making something from scratch in Charlotte has a big draw for Bauer. As it stands, the dynamic defender's contract is at least until 2024. The Hornets expected Ball to hold out for a long time, and didn't have any big-city aspirations as it had been before.
