Walking into No. 395 Wukang Road, it is as if you have entered a dream.
At this moment, if you pass by the door, next to you is Wukang Road, which has been "net red" for many years, which is the exploration and pursuit of people from all over the world to come to Shanghai, and the only place for literary and artistic young people to travel and punch. On the sofa on the second floor of the 395 building across the window, the leader of the group, Tong Ruixin, and the veteran actor Dashi often were studying the script, reading it affectionately from time to time, and falling into contemplation from time to time.
It is home to the Shangying Actors Troupe, a small Western-style building with Western neoclassical characteristics. Tall Tashkent columns, curved balconies on the outside, and arched window openings decorated with multiple layers of lines all reflect the ornate style of the building. Tong Ruixin is still unforgettable, when he first walked into No. 395 Wukang Road in 1989, he was shocked to see all the familiar screen faces from childhood to adulthood appear in front of him at close range.
The brown wooden floor, as soon as you walk up, you can hear the echo of history, which holds up Tong Ruixin's memories. Although he was born in Harbin, for Tong Ruixin, the relationship with Shanghai can be traced back to his father's study in Shanghai when he was young. When he was a child, he and his father walked along the Huangpu River, the wind of the River, and the romance was slow, and he decided to live in the city in the future. "I've lived in Shanghai for most of my life, my home, my career, my dreams, all here, and I don't think about whether I'm 'like' a Shanghainese anymore, because I'm a Shanghainese."
After completing his studies at the Shanghai Theater Academy, it was the film that truly connected Tong Ruixin with the city of Shanghai, flesh and blood.
Shanghai is the birthplace of Chinese cinema. On the night of August 11, 1896 (the third day of the first month of July in guangxu 22), at the entertainment party of "Another Village" in xu garden in the private garden of Zhabei Xitangjia Lane (today's Lane 35, Lane 814, Tong Road) in Suzhou, Shanghai, French cultural merchants screened "Western Film Drama" (at that time, Shanghainese popular to call the new art form of film "Western Shadow Drama"), and a total of 14 short films such as "Horse House Fire" were screened. This is the first time a film has been screened in Shanghai and the first time in China.
Since then, the four words of "Shanghai Film", with the glory and glory of a hundred years, have told the silver story of the storm to the world.

This young man became famous, and the famous actor who has played important roles in dramas such as "Breaking New Ground", "Master Hongyi", "Shanghai Vicissitudes", "Ayutthaya Building" and other dramas for decades has now shouldered the heavy responsibility of the head of the Shanghai Film Actor Troupe. In 2018, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the troupe, Tong Ruixin brought the old and new filmmakers back to this place where the art vein has been long after 15 years of the Shanghai Film Troupe's farewell to No. 395 Wukang Road.
After returning here, Tong Ruixin especially likes to walk along Wukang Road. Ba Jin, Zheng Junli, Jin Yan, Wang Renmei, Zhao Dan, Shangguan Yunzhu... They have all lived or worked here, and these shining names have given this road a rich connotation; and in the Wukang Building and the Shanghai Film Troupe, the deep imprint left by artists such as Dao Lin, RuiFang, Wang Danfeng, and Xiang Mei has also allowed him to cross time and space and dialogue with art again and again.
"Shanghai has too many movie-related landmarks." Tong Ruixin said, "Like the Huangpu Theater, 'Children of the Storm' premiered here. This theater, built in 1933, was originally known as the Jincheng Grand Theater, and a large number of left-wing progressive domestic films such as "Life" and "Fisherman's Light Song" premiered that year, known as the "Palace of National Films". At 16:40 on May 24, 1935, "Children of the Wind and Clouds" was premiered at the Huangpu Theater, and the theme song "March of the Volunteer Army" composed by Tian Han and composed by Nie Er was sung for the first time here and was widely sung. Today's Huangpu Theater has set aside 400 square meters to build the "National Anthem Sings From Here" pavilion, which truly shows the history of the "National Anthem" from birth, development to singing.
For example, crowne plaza Hotel Silver Star next door to Xinhua Road Shanghai Cinema Is the only "movie-themed hotel" in Shanghai, in addition to being an old five-star hotel. Staying in a hotel is like walking into the time corridor of Shanghai film development, and the history of film development is vividly remembered. People can see the cameras, film boxes, prop cars, etc. used by old filmmakers in the hotel lobby; in the hotel reception, guest rooms, restaurants, public retreats, and the history of development to singing. There are also many elements of "Haipai Movie" in the space such as the rest area.
In addition, the Shanghai Film Museum, the Chedun Film and Television Base, as well as the old bungalows and new buildings scattered throughout Shanghai, have all turned into stunning sets in countless movies, telling the glory of Shanghai films.
2023 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Shanghai Film Troupe. Tong Ruixin plans to use some appropriate methods to open up 395 Wukang Road, where the Shanghai Film troupe is located, to the public. In the building, people can see the handprints, photographs and signatures of the artists of the 100 years of Shanghai Film, the most memorable names, films and their stories in the history of Shanghai film and Chinese film, quietly showing people the ups and downs of Shanghai film in the past hundred years. "Movies are silver dreams, and I really hope that more people can come here and walk into the dream of movies, just like me, fall in love with movies, fall in love with Shanghai."
The stars are sparkling and the art is endless.
